Headed out last night to check on Martha just before turning in about midnight ....I could see her on the porch playing with something. I figured it was a stick or piece of mulch. I stepped out and shined the flashlight on her and it was a live mouse...she was doing what cats do. She looked at me and then sunk her teeth into the back of it neck and that was it.....So looks like she will be earning her keep around the place...

our cats catch mice and moles small rats but leave any big rats alone cant blame them I guess
in the spring they love when the young birds are jumping out of the nest to try out there wings . as expected it does not end well for the birds
Congratulations on your little "Verminator" ! We were adopted years ago and she resides on our porch. The only vermin we see within 50 yds of the house are in parts.
i took in a murderios tabby once you had to llook at the door step when you went out or step on fresh kill
Ours is at least considerate when he kills a mouse he takes it into the shower to eat it. Not much left but a stain on the floor that needs to be washed away.
