Kids back in school

My kids go to private school and 1st wk was last Monday (August 2nd). Public schools around here (Orlando) all start next week (August 10th).
On one hand, Im happy to have the family back into a routine, on the other hand, I feel like the craziness hasn’t even begun round 2.
I’m not real worried about covid for my family (there are never more than 12 kids in a class at their school) but kids spread germs and I think things as a whole may take a step back.

Kids should be in school year round. Give them a few days off each month. Otherwise, keep them in the classroom.
Kids here, to include my grandkids, all went to school fall 2020 through spring 2021. They rode buses to and from school and wore masks. I don't recall any children with Covid nor an increase in positives in adults. They held summer school last year and again this year. This is in rural southeast Missouri.
They used to do that in NC, Not sure if they still do. I think its a great idea.
Amen. We invest millions in school buildings and facilities, then let them sit idle for 3 months out of the year every year. Makes no sense.
I suspect by no later than mid Sept that all public schools be back on virtual learning.
Our bloated governor , JB, just inflicted his rule again with masks mandate in all schools, public and private. Another illegal act and he has dozens of lawsuits pending but the judges won't hear them soon. His hand picked stooges, some some called doctor said as the liberal logic, kids might get infected and take it home ect. Blah, blah, and the pig said he is just following "the science."
BUT everyone has been vacationing all summer all over the US but when the Chicago teachers say they are "afraid" they will go to "virtual" non learning. It is insane and the clowns are the masters.
