Not unlucky today. Got a certified letter back for a security deposit sent to a tenant a yr and a half ago. Had a USPS money order in it.. When I return the deposit I put my LLC or them on it as payee . So they didn't forward their address and bingo it came back. All of it. They left without an eviction, moved on out of state somewhere and failed to forward their mail. Now just what should I buy for the 850 bucks. BTW.. SC law says if the tenant fails to forward an address it is sent to their last address..( where they rented ) and they are not entitled to collect the monies at a later date.

Save the envelope & card.
This has happened a few times .. always keep the receipts and letter.
Maybe part of a brick of 22lr. You could probably get a few hundred Thunderduds for that price. Bob
Curious...how long is the USPS money order good for ? I should know but can't remember.

I read that and thought... I spoke too soon and Friday the 13th got me. Had to do some research... USPS money orders never expire.
I read your reply then realized I can't give you both a "like" 👍️ and a "LOL" 😀 at the same time, you deserve both so here they are. Glad you now know and many of us that didn't know they never expire.
