studebaker maybe a 51 first car i ever owned . car was given to me when i was 15. the engine had been taken apart and thrown in the trunk. put it all back together and drove it around on the back roads for a couple of years.

When I saw that pic I thought of great uncle Harry's Studebaker. Not saying I'm right but that's what it looks like to me. Uncle Harry was a Studebaker man!!

1950 Studebaker. Centerpiece in grille was a little different on the '51.
I had a '53 Stude Lowery coupe in '56. All my pals had Fords, Mercs, and Chevys but I was always my own guy. 6 cly and 30mpg when I bought it and turned it into 7mpg w/ a 301 mouse by '58.
Those were the days!
