I thought the correct pirate utterance was Aaaarrrrgggghhhh with a "g" and a "h". 😂
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
So the bartender says, "I can't help but notice you have a steering wheel shoved down your pants."
And the pirate says, "Yes, and it's driving me nuts! Aaarrrggghh"
In point of fact, the only reason we (mistakenly) think that's how pirates talked was because of the performance of Robert Newton who played Long John Silver in the 1950 Disney film "Treasure Island".
Not even the dialogue in the Robert Louis Stevenson book resembled it.
Arrrgh. Prepare to walk the plank for that blaspheme matey! We don’t want to hearrr any of that old CPT!
When I did voiceovers, I could do Silver better than anybody. "Pirate" was one of my 30 voices. I'm down to only a few now with age, but that one is still with me.
I once met a few Pirates while fishing with friends in the Caribbean, they all spoke Spanish but the UZI's they had spoke volumes 😮.
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum or three.
Who can beat the Pirates? The Yankees of course .
Actions speak louder than words. I'll select a forum member at random and have him walk the plank!
ill guess "C" as in "the C"
Arrrrrrrrr ye see tis a tough row te hoe matey when ye’r usin’ the orficial Pirate Keyboard it is.
Long ago, when sailing ships ruled the waves, a captain and his crew were in danger of being boarded by a pirate ship. As the crew became frantic, the captain bellowed to his First Mate, "Bring me red shirt!". The First Mate quickly retrieved the captain's red shirt, which the captain put on and lead the crew to battle. Although some casualties occurred among the crew, the pirates were repelled.
Later that day, the lookout screamed that there were two pirate vessels sending boarding parties. The crew cowered in fear, but the captain calm as ever bellowed, "Bring me red shirt!". The battle was on, and once again the Captain and his crew repelled both boarding parties, although this time more casualties occurred.
Weary from the battles, the men sat around on deck that night recounting the day's occurrences when an ensign looked to the Captain and asked, "Sir, why did you call for your red shirt before the battle?". The Captain, giving the ensign a look that only a captain can give, exhorted, "If I am wounded in battle, the red shirt does not show the wound and thus, you men will continue to fight unafraid". The men sat in silence marveling at the courage of such a man.
As dawn came the next morning, the lookout screamed that there were pirate ships, 10 of them, all with boarding parties on their way. The men became silent and looked to their Captain for his usual command. The Captain, calm as ever, bellowed, "Bring me brown pants!!
