I've got three of them recently after not getting one for quite awhile. Wew , I was starting to worry there was something wrong with either me or you folks. Balance has been stored.

That's generally reserved for posters who single out one member, and "disagree" with every one of their posts.....

The sad faced emjoy that comes with the disagree almost got me when the forum changed a while back. I almost hit it once when the post I was reading had me almost in tears. I think it would be best if this option would just disappear and anyone with an alternate opinion would just post their thoughts.
True, I was called out for using that button. This came from the top of the pecking order. Basically we should not use this button.
I agree with posting thoughts if someone disagrees otherwise it is meaningless. There is a member who hasn't posted in months who gave me most of my disagrees but at least he posted his opinion and I knew what he was disagreeing about. I don't sweat the disagrees from what amounts to an anonymous person on a forum. I am much better at offending people in person anyway.😁
If you do hit one of the buttons ,agree, disagree or LOL by mistake you can always tap the appropriate emoji a second time and it will remove it. Bob
Although I've never used it, I'm all in favor of the "disagree". As long as it requires an explanatory paragraph each time it's used.
I'd hate to be surrounded by, or married to, someone that agrees with me all the time. Where's the spice in that?
One of my friends (I won’t call more attention to him than that). Struck another member the wrong way in some fashion, and that other member promptly went through a few hundred posts of his and “disagreed” with each one. He is one of the best guys here and probably has more “disagrees” than anyone.

I think if we are going to have an agree/disagree it should not be a feature only giving incite to the mods.

It would be nice if after hitting the 'Disagree' button a dialogue box were to appear that you had to use to express why you disagree. No rational text in the box, no posting of the disagree. Approving the explanations in the dialogue box would give the mods something new and exciting to do.😉

In the case of the latter, if its not DEMOCRAT groupthink, everyone will disagree with you and your posts expunged.
The short order cook who had a bone with me I know hit it like 30 times because he basically was fighting me on the forums blindly. I forget his name but he was a billionaire or flipped burgers at a place called Bob's Burger Haven. Whatever, I rarely use them because it might hurt someone's feelings. 🤐

I only have so much patience. Disagreeing with me as a fellow forum member is one thing, but failing to follow directives from an Administrator (me) is quite another.
I didn't dislike the guy, but someone has to be in charge of the forum, and it wasn't him. Like so many others, he couldn't grasp with that concept, so he's now on the....
