Sun going down behind Mt. Susitna, from the Knik river bridge. Might as well make the best of a traffic snarl.

Stunning.
Moose crossing the bridge?
NICE!!!!
Nice, thank you for sharing...
our moon has been coming up low and late so I’m getting good late night star gazing. Last night about 12:30 everything looked normal then POW we got a massive abrupt Northern Light display. It was spectacular and brief, 10 minutes and it was gone.
Nanug907, In '89 on our trip across N. America we stopped at RV Sites every other night. Once, I believe it was Fairbanks the kids were playing Little League Ball right next to us and it was July around 11PM and no lights were needed.------------------------Ray
That's about right, Ray. The only way kids know to go inside for sleep is when the parents tell them to come in.
Here we are on the Kobuk River having a s'mores and bug spray bonfire. I took this pic just after midnight.
Nice thanks for sharing
I never understood the fascination about s'mores... 🤢

I'm with you. Notice the one person NOT doing a s'more is the one taking the picture.
my wife has always made them and passed it on to the kids . the marshmallows I have never liked , now just a Hershey bar by its self I can way too many 🙄
No marshmallows? Then what you want is a S'moreo, Two Oreos with melted chocolate between them. Yum.
BEST of all? Two Nilla wafers with a shmear of cream cheese between them. Poor man's cheesecake.
I blame my marshmallow addiction to MOON PIES 🤪
I used to love smores. I had to give them up for diabetes. 😥
