Very few places where I live even sell real BP anymore. A few years ago I got a bunch, probably more than i need. I have molds for balls I don't have an endless supply of caps though, the flintlock will be OK.
Another "sign" of the times? We have a local blackpowder club who actively shoot. Hope there is still a company that produces is.
At least it's easy to make at home with a few simple ingredients.....😊

Go "smokeless"..............ddddduuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. 😋
It really becomes a problem - when you use large quantities of it.
Captain Kirk showed us how.

There is some hope, maybe just a glimmer that Hodgdon will get sold to someone that will continue with production. There are a few other foreign sources like Elephant and Swiss that have been available here in this country for many years at higher prices.
I recently bought about 10 pounds of Goex, half 2F and half 3F which should last me for a couple years. I haven't been shooting a lot for a while with the exception of hunting. I could make it last what's left of my lifetime if need be.
No cannon fodder
Just checked with 'Midway' - none available of any brand. Like 'Brookwood' - I tend to use more 'Elephant' and 'Swiss' than Goex. I have black powder pistols - rifles - muzzle-stuffer shotguns - but most use is solid brass shotgun shell cases. By the way in passage I need 16 - 20 - & - 28 gauge solid brass cases - especially European ones using # 57 primers.

Since you gave me a 😀 LOL and a silly reply to my post I'll take that as you think it was a BS post. I've made my own for years, research it you may be surprised how easy it is.....better yet try it 😉. Of all the things becoming a short supply item black powder would be the least hurtful since it can be home made but I realize we all don't live in a "Perfect" world. Addition: I do regret seeing another American company go down and employees losing their incomes, nothing good about that.

Didn't mean to offend. Yes it's easy to do. Your post made me chuckle because I know what some folks use for one of the ingredients.
