I have a lot of knives. I have them all over the house and my office and in my vehicles. I like good quality blades that can be used. I don't ever remember paying more than $250.00 for a blade and most have been cheaper. I was looking for something the other day and found two special Benchmade knives that I forgot I had. At work I have, just guessing, 25 or 30, but I use two most of the time. I have an old Western Cutlery 5 1/2" filet knife and a Hammer Brand skinner made in the late 1930's with a 3 1/2" blade and checkered rubber handle. I keep both razor sharp. I go through a lot of heavy brown wrapping paper that comes in rolls 24" wide and 900 feet long. Either of these blades will cut through a 24" wide piece almost without effort. They also peel carrots and cut up oranges. I bought them on ebay for maybe 20 bucks each and they are fantastic tools. I really enjoy working with a well made, sharp knife.
