immunocompromised

Having a weakened immune system. People who are immunocompromised have a reduced ability to fight infections and other diseases. This may be caused by certain diseases or conditions, such as AIDS, cancer, diabetes, malnutrition, and certain genetic disorders. It may also be caused by certain medicines or treatments, such as anticancer drugs, radiation therapy, and stem cell or organ transplant. Also called immunosuppressed.

If you fall into this category of people the CDC says you will need a 4th shot, then I am sure something will come up so you will need a 5th, 6th.................11th and so on.

Personally I am done getting shots.

and then there's : logicompromised which applies to all those feeling the need for eleventeen booster shots

One of my employees has received 3x CV19 shots. Then he got his 'yearly flu shot' and promptly got so sick he could barely breath/talk/get out of bed. He commented after recovery that getting the 'yearly flu shot' usually makes him sick. Good grief- STOP DOING THAT.

If you pay attention to all of those commercials for the high priced new arthritis, psoriasis, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. drugs they all cause some degree of immunocompromise. When I was prescribed Humira I did as much research as possible, weighing the benefits vs the risks just like I did the covid vaccine. Both were a personal decision just like it should be for everyone. Bob

Pretty soon folks will need a shot or pill cause they have their feelings hurt. Too much time on their hands... they need to go back to work.

And when the gov't mandates it, you'll be right there saying "comply".

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    Sam06,

I know this word only because my Bride is highly allergic to nickel and when they put the first titanium alloy rods and screws in her neck, things health wise got really strange. Like being suspected to have rheumatoid arthritis, MS, and a couple others. She then had a lower spine surgery and got two more short rods and six screws. Then things went really haywire.

We ended up getting a Melissa test and found out that she was highly allergic to nickel, hence the problem when they put the titanium alloy parts in her which have nickel in them causing her reactions.

The Drs said this has caused her to be “immunocompromised”.

She has some strange health things go on because of it.

sorry for the long explanation, but yes sadly I am aware of it.

There are a lot of reason for someone to immunosuppressed. Chemotherapy, immune system depression to control autoimmune disorders are two big ones. Then of course people with HIV or other diseases that affect the immune system. Protecting them from exposure to pathogens is something we deal with on a regular basis in acute care settings. Will they need continued vaccination and will it help if they do needs to be evaluated, though there is a lot of research material related to management of these patients already available.
