Space age steering wheel- Ford's ‘Wrist Twist'
Year and Model ?????
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

1965 Mercury Park Lane so the car is about 56 and the model 25 years older. Bob
Very pretty model for sure.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Loving the headlight dimmer on top the dash
kinda like that with women, the older they get the younger they claim to be............
🤣
never seen the photo or the steering wheel concept before its fun to see the old car of the future dreams
JMHO looks like a over engineered Necker knob / suicide / spinner / and i am sure a few more names pre power steering they were the thing to have ( have one on my old 8n ford tractor )
Ya! Back when you had to steer back and forth 30 degrees each way just to drive down a straight as an arrow highway! 🙄
What was claimed to be the advantage, or what problem did it solve? None?
NEVER seen such, but I like to rest my left arm on those old autos at about the 11:20 position.
Tesla Model S Steering wheel:
All these cars with power steering. My wheel is almost 2 feet across.
I saw that demonstrated on the Mike Douglas show back when. And I thought Why. I have to wonder what the linkage is. I would think it's too early for electronic. Do you suppose it's a bicycle chain to the column hub?
