Just noticed I have four stars...So...I thought a giveaway would be in order...While traveling to Durango CO this weekend we stopped in Dove Creek CO (Bean capitol of the world) and picked up some supplies...I have 5# of Anasazi beans...bean seasoning and a odd book of recipes from Adobe Milling for the giveaway...Anybody Interested??? I will have the wife draw the name after two weeks...

I Grew Old Too Fast (And Smart Too damn Slow !!!) !!! :?
Heck yeah. Thanks for the chance…and congrats on earning your fourth star and all the associated perks!
Be sure to eat at the Himalayan Kitchen in downtown Durango! Your best chance to dine on yak (which is delicious.) Run by some very nice Tibetan folks.
We drive through "bean country" every time we go to Durango, but have never stopped. Due to my abject laziness, please put me in for the drawing.
You bean eaters would love them. The have a richer bean taste than plain pinto beans.

Heck yes put me in and congratulations of the 4th star! It really makes all the difference... Not! 🤣
bean soup?......I'm in
sure............I'm in. I like beans.
Already having roughly 500lb of various beans in storage , I will pass on your generous offer. It sounds like they might be akin to the "cranberry" beans that we pick up. Larger and with a very distinct flavor.
The wife has eaten there several times and likes it...We usually eat at the "Steamworks" while in Durango...Good food and great beer...

I like beans, but my wife always complains about my backfiring. Some days you can't win. 😥

Only bean I eat is a jelly bean...
Sounds like a heck of a giveaway. I'm in for beans! Thanks!

I'm in, thanks for the chance.
put my name in the hat please and thanks
Not to derail the thread, but we enjoy Durango a lot. We usually book a VRBO for a week. We've managed to break the train twice now and have yet to complete a trip on it. Just our luck, LOL! We'll keep trying.
Be sure to visit Mesa Verde NP if you haven't already. Truly astounding place and a wonderful full-day experience.

Way to go!!!
Congrats.
Finally back in town and broke open the awesome box from Tom. Pulled ideas from several recipes in the Queens' Kitchen cookbook he included, soaked some of the beans, grabbed a package of deer grindings, and voila!...venison chili with Anasazi beans. Paired a bowl with a bottle of Guinness Extra Stout...time for my afternoon nap!
Thanks again Tom for the great giveaway.
My wife made ham and beans for supper. I've been rather toxic since. 😮
