We pre-buy every year in the summer. Paid $1.95 gallon for this winter.
Reported at $2.22 gal in my area.
I prepaid in July and got it for $1.74 a gallon.
I paid $1.95/gal in the Indy area back in September. I fear what it will be next time - probably in February or so. I burn a lot of wood but if it gets 15-20 outside the furnace comes on.
I filled a hundred pound cyl and it was $80
$2.55 and i own my 300 gallon tank.
I will begin burning wood soon and not use much gas.
You guys are getting some good prices on your propane. I had 3 20# tanks filled last week and it was $3.89 a gallon. Dinwiddie County, Virginia. What a ripoff, but to exchange the tanks for Blue Rhino would have been $19.95 each and a propane guy told me they only put 3 gallons in those exchange tanks. The 20# tank holds 4.5 gallons. I never do the tank exchange because of that. I had a 100# cylinder filled last month in Smyth County for my Dads generator and it was $2.79 a gallon.
filled up in Aug. 2; 554 gal. @ $1.59 (my own 1.000 tank)
$2.99 a gallon! Thanks Joe!!!! Was $1.69 last year. Supposed to double soon, again.......thanks Joe
Florida has the highest price for LP. They filled our 300 gal. Tank at 4.52 per gallon. Does anybody know where I can find a second job to pay for this?
$4.52/gal gjshaw? That's terrible. I would report this immediately to Brandon.
😀
I got my price locked in early in the Summer for the upcoming season for 1.71 per gallon here in northern lower Michigan. On a monthly fill plan that guarantees I will never run out of gas or a complete fill up is free.
On a side note, my cost would have been 10 cents a gallon higher if I hadn't asked the company if they gave Veteran discounts! Been with them for the past 6 years and just asked this question last Summer.
No idea (but I'm about to find out).
Just getting LP is a big ??? here. After the previous 2 winters of fighting to keep my house warm with a failing biomass furnace followed by a wood pellet stove, I gave up and bought a new LP furnace. What a nightmare. No one would do the install since they were all booked up and/or running behind. Next issue is lack of tanks along with providers playing catch up with tank filling(guess lots of folks were waiting to see if the price went down). At this point, there's even a shortage of fittings and copper tubing to make connections.
I finally found a tank a few miles away that isn't in use and making an attempt today to get things organized to have a supplier connect the regulator and fill the tank. I'll do the rest myself--not the first stove/heater/furnace I've installed.
High prices in Florida are a hell of a lot different than high prices in Wisc. We had 16 degrees last nite, what did you have?
Locked in at $i.74 till June 2022. I did pay a fee of $29.99 will get that back if I use 1000 gallons.

$3.35 per gallon here in sc. paid $1.89 last year.
Sister is Colorado uses propane for heating. 3,200 Sq ft house in 30 Mile NE of Colorado Spring, so gets a bit chilly. They have a 500 gal tank. filled up in Early October was $ 2.24.
The will need another fill up by Mid Feb. Price now is $ 3.45. They locked that price in.
Mine here in KY was $ 2.89 in Early October. They had to switch out tanks as the 250 was to close to the Shop ( so now I have two 120 instead?). I usually have to fill up twice, depending on the weather. Try to keep the temp around 45% in the Shop/ Warehouse. Office is on Electric.
just filled up today. $2.59
We asked for a new tank this year as the last one was over 30 years ago. They set it up in May and we were able to get it filled for 1.59 that day. It is running 2.29 now..
prepaid $1.70 a gallon here in sc Kansas....have come out ahead so far...one year was prepaid $1.20 and it zoomed to $4.00.......
I'm somewhat content with my prepaid plan for this year but fear my supplier will be making up the difference next season!! 😲
I prepaid this summer for $1.79. The first propane I bought was in 1967, 300 gallon at $0.11 a gallon. I thought they had ruined me.
Paid $3.40 per gal. for Propane this week. I was also charged a surcharge which added $8.50 to ticket.
