How is your Saturday going ????

I woke up at my usual hunting time of 445....rolled over and went back to sleep. I considered hunting today, but this old buzzard is a little tired and sore from hunting most of the last 6 days. I got moving later in the a.m. and walked 3 miles just to loosen up....weights and time stretching on an exercise ball followed by some sit ups.... That got me feeling a whole lot better.....but it is in the 60's this afternoon so heading out to hunt will not work at this point...

Spent the afternoon doing farm books and figuring out the final expenses for this crop year and the start of planning for next year.......Listening to American top 40 from November of 1978 which was my sophomore year of college...great tunes !!!

My neighbor's grandson rolled by to show me his 8pt rack from last night and pics of his sister's 9pt from earlier in the week...My buddy sent me a pic of his 9pt from yesterday...

Guess I should have gone hunting after all.....there is always tomorrow after church !

How are you spending your Saturday ??

Dang Frank your first paragraph wore me out.., I'm just finishing up the cutting of hay today and drinking a few beers. I'll probably rake it and bale it tomorrow as it is already pretty dry. My cutter needs new blades so the going is slow, but it is what it is. Enjoy your hunting after church tomorrow and good luck, I'm heading back on the JD to hopefully finish the cutting... at least I'll finish a few beers!

We were headed home from Grand Junction a few months back...Perfect clear blue sky...Not a single cloud in the sky...Just east of Gateway we saw a small perfectly round cloud with three perfect triangular clouds close to it...I have never observed anything like it...Traffic and no place to pull over prevented me from taking a pic...

I keep trying to outrun getting old but it keeps creeping up on me....If I keep my workout routine in place I seem to do a lot better !. Cutting hay is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon..

Up at 5, as usual. Spent the morning on the interwebnet, again as usual. Watched three quarters of the Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech game - until it was ND 55 - GT 0. Turned it off when a ND grad student defensive lineman scooped up a fumble and churned 85 yards for yet another TD.

About to start mixing Saturday cocktails. Gonna grill some steaks after that. Pretty good day!

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

The day got even better.....grilled some chicken, brats and burgers and after supper sat on the porch with my eldest son and talked for a couple hours about everything...Nice to sit on the porch this late in November...full moon so bright out there...Good day !

Sounds like some of you all had a good one too...

Spent all day working in the yard . Winterizing the pump house and swimming pool . The rest of the day was spent cutting back grape vines and repairing fence. Got to try to get all the yard work done for the wintertime before my knee surgery on December 8

I was limping around with a cane. I woke up with excruciating pain in my left big toe. I have arthritis in that joint, but I have never had that much pain before. It felt almost as bad as the gout in my right big toe years ago. Today it's almost back to normal.
