Last January I submitted the paperwork to purchase a 1911a1 through the CMP. It arrived yesterday. It doesn't have any re-arsenal marks and doesn't appear to have been reparkerized. It's a Remington Rand with a correct type 3 Rand slide and HS barrel from 1944.
I'll take out later today to see how it shoots.

The previous owner of my Rem Rand said the target scores he shot with it were the same as with his target / competition 1911's. It functions very well and has the same smooth finish as yours.
That is beautiful, Leo.
Congratulations!
Thanks, even though I already own a Rand and was hoping for a Colt, I am satisfied with it. It kinda has the been there, done that look to it.
lkannes yours looks very nice, especially compared to the one the guy is asking about in the experts forum...oh and its a colt kinda...
Nice Piece
There’s a good lookin shootin iron.
Cool I always had a hankering for a CMP firearm but never went through with the process. Good for you!
Okay am I the only one here that doesn’t know what a “CMP” is?
Civilian Markesmanship Program.
Back around the turn of the 1900s it was the DCM ( Department of Civilian Marksmanship). Somewhere in the mid(?) 1900s it morphed into the CMP.
