I had them mufflers ( no comment on the model other than different times and sex sells ) along with the other popular ones back in the day cherry bombs and purple horney's my most used set was just open headers or a set of strait 4" pipes about 30" long on the back of my headers ( still have them there cut off drive shafts with a header flange welded on ) all the LEO use to just to shake there head and smile . lucky I never got a ticket over loud exhaust but made up for it with speeding tickets LOL

Unfortunately, I never owned one, but I always thought a '68, '69 or '70 Corvette with Lake Pipes to be the HOT ticket of that era. Lake Pipes still look good today !

I had the Hooker header side pipes on my vette. Nice pleasing exhaust note .

I had cherry bombs on a Sunbeam Tiger with a built HiPo 289, Sanderson headers, race cam and solid lifters. At idle it sounded like a nuclear popcorn popper.

A friend of ours just bought one in excellent condition. I'd never realized there might still be some around. There's a Carroll Shelby autograph somewhere in the engine compartment. Nice ride!

    Arrivederci gigi

In those days I was lucky to have a muffler on my pieces of crap.

TRust me at making a whopping 1.35 a hour then a huge jump to 1.65 and working 20 to 25 hours a week liking fast cars and girls pay checks did not go very far

I hate to say it now but my car was always priority back then

I got huge break around 1977 or so got a construction job I think it started at 12.00 or so a hour . Had a few extra dollars for the girls

Short story when I met my wife to be I had just blown the engine in my camaro

So picking out a set of wedding rings i had just enough to rebuild my BBC engine and buy the rings she wanted

She still tells people I paid for a engine and what was left I got her rings.

It worked out i still have her and the 69 camaro but it's had a few more engines since then (the car)not the wife lol
