Military Discharges For No Covid Vax

I heard on the new that the Air Force discharged some troops for refusing the vax. What type discharge did they get?

My guess is that they will get a "medical" discharge. The review board will determine that they cannot be deployed because of their "medical condition", so there is no point in wasting money retaining them. Not harmful when they look for jobs in civilian life.

Happens all the time and not just for Covid.
Nope, they first get and Article 15 for failing to obey an order which is usually a fine and reduction in rank. If no comply a discharge package is next. There is no honorable discharge for failing to obey an order.
An article I read said there is a bill pending to give them either an Honorable Discharge or General under Honorable Conditions. The article did not not mention what they are getting now.
Sad, particularly when just a month ago the WHO released a true vaccine in Southern Africa.

It is going to be delicious when we get a new administration and everybody who has been fired because of these unconstitutional mandates is allowed to sue for improper termination. Their old jobs back, full restitution of missed payroll, plus damages.
When I was in the Navy there was no such thing as "choice" when it came to vaccinations. I suppose one could have said no but then who really wants to sit in the Brig.
Yep, I'm just hoping folks that are getting fired now/have already been fired can hang on that long.
😃
I remember "standing in line".
Is there a line for this one - or are you just supposed to go get it on your own?
I would think an honorable or general under honorable conditions would not affect a civilian job,but I hope they dont get a type discharge that will cause them problems down the road.
This is ludicrous.
Sit down, shut up, and roll up your sleeve.
There are several sides to that, Sam. One is that (in our day anyway) you did just as you described. But in today's "woke" military an order is more of a suggestion. Then, too, there's the quite real knowledge that getting the clot shot may well be killing a whole bunch of young athletes, men and women whose hearts are being destroyed during hard exertion - exactly what soldiers do every day. We might not be able to blame some of them for saying "Hell no."
These guys are all dirt bags who don’t want to get deployed.
You can’t get deployed without going to dental either.
This is about readiness. There are fundamental things that, like it or not impact readiness and therefore impact the mission.
a COVID19 outbreak in the middle of an infantry company could really change the game when it matters, or maybe take an aircraft carrier out of the fight for a few weeks.
That is the risk and if I was wearing stars on my collar I would make the same call as they did.
I wonder if todays military still uses this?
The Navy went even further for me with shots. Getting ready for our first deployment overseas and they discovered they lost my shot record.
I had to get six shots all at once.
I found that about 50% of the shots that I received from the old air gun would bleed for a while after.
It would be entirely different if the Covid shots were actually a vaccine that prevented you from getting the disease. These may be inoculations, but they certainly are not vaccines because they neither prevent getting the disease nor do they seem to lessen the symptoms or even lessen your contagion if you are asymptomatic. That being the case, how does getting the shots aid in military preparedness? 'Splain that to me you Fauci Followers.
Nailed it. Saw plenty refuse the Anthrax shots to avoid SWA duty. We got rid of them and were proud in doing so.
You missed it. It is an order from the CIC and your officers. I know you were in the USAF but they follow the orders of the CIC last time I checked.
To me this isn't about the effectiveness of the shot its about obeying an order, even though its stupid and useless.
I agree, Sam. I'm just doing the "flip side of the coin" thing.
It remains that all of the many, many shots I got in the AF were all genuine vaccines, and this witch's brew is not. There's also the fact that they were developed from fetal tissue which makes it a genuine religious issue. That's really important to some people.
I see it as more of a loyalty test. Get rid of anyone who questions what they are being ordered to do.
Rocky, I agree with you about this not being a normal vaccine. However it does a moderately good job of controlling the symptoms if Covid is contracted. Here in Michigan around 73% have had at least one dose of the vaccine. The last figure I saw for Covid hospitalizations was that 85% were not vaccinated. If the vaccine wasn't helping then the vaccine hospitalization rate would be many times higher than 15%. I didn't see any further break down in the numbers for age, sex, other medical problems, etc., but there has been an increase in younger patients over the last few months. Based on the civilian covid numbers, at this point the military must be trying to minimize the damage in military effectiveness that the virus can cause. Some in the service will be sidelined by the virus no matter what we do but keeping that number to a minimum should be a priority to maintain effectiveness. So I guess I am on the, if someone is given an order for vaccination then that order must be followed side. Bob
The week before we left boot camp we had to get 21 shots in one day (The Flying 21), it was an assembly line setup. Got shot with guns and needles too, needless to say no one was worth a crap the next day.
They also lost my shot records and guess what I was lucky enough to repeat.
My BT Flight in the USAF got more shots than I can even remember. All were from an air gun like I pictured above. The only shot I remember the most was the one we were always threatened with.
THE SQUARE NEEDLE IN THE LEFT NUT 😲😜😁
When I was in The Marine Corps some Marines would try to eat their way out. With the small numbers that have been removed I believe that the people being force out are more in this category. They want out and have found a quick and easy way to do so. I had more shots than I can remember from the Black Plague to Yellow Fever. I even had the flu vaccine that was mandated one year. I have never gotten one since. I never questioned it, it was an order. One doesn't have to like the order or who gives it but one has to comply with it if it is legal. That's just the way it is when you sign up. In the late 80's The Marine Corps ordered everyone who still had wisdom teeth to report to dental and have them extracted. So off to Dental I went. I guess having ones shot card missing is common because mine disappeared at about the 4 year mark.
That was one of my best life lessons learned from the Marines=You aint gotta like it,you gotta do it.
They are getting a Honorable discharge which is BS IMO. At the least they should receive a Less than.
