Sure do! A young, at the time, friend of ours was fairly new to trap shooting and was doing quite well with his Beretta unsingle combo and won a Browning Recoilless at one of the shoots we went to, probably at the Michigan State shoot. I think it is still somewhere buried in the back of his gun safe. He tried it and did O.K. but not as good as he did with his Beretta. Also he could use the Beretta at doubles. I tried it a few times and it really did cut the recoil down appreciably. I couldn't get used to the way it felt with the barrel moving to counteract the recoil and the loading and unloading was to me counterintuitive. I suppose if I hadn't shot traditional trap and skeet guns for so many years, getting used to it may have been a lot easier. It was a pretty good engineering feat and ahead of its time but just wasn't for me.
I am so old school I still occasionally shoot an early 70s BT99 that had the choke redone by Herb Orre. If anyone is curious who that is, here is an interesting article;

Quite a guy and also ahead of his time. Bob
Speaking of shooting, when you have a minute look up this fellow, Arnold Reigger and his 37 Winchesters.-------------------------------Ray
I remember reading about him. Starting out with a 37 Winchester and beating guys shooting guns that were many times more expensive and made specifically for trap was amazing. Just goes to show you it ain't the gun but it is the guy behind it. There is no substitute for talent. Of course, I never said that when I was convincing myself that a new gun would help me get a few more targets.😀 Bob
Bob, I think he was a reformed Alcoholic and became religious later in life. Use to go to Trap shoots and drive new car home that he won. Fired those 37's until they got so hot he could not break them open. Arnold was truly a amazing guy.
I bailed out tonight on the auction side on a 28 Gauge 37 at $1751. Think it went for about $1900. It was a first year 1936 Red Letter.
Wished one of you fellows could post the letter that Winchester wrote to Arnold about his shooting with the 37 Winchester.------------------------------Ray

I am supposed to have a BT99 coming in on consignment.
forgemonkey, thanks for link. Somewhere I have a copy of Winchester's Letter to Arnold. Will post if I can find it.------Ray
is that black electric tape holding the recoil pad on?????
I wouldn't think so, but it sure looks like it.
Arnold used to come out to our local gun club and sell components. He was a neat guy, his whisper of a voice, poop-eating grin and his curly hair is something I will never forget. His shooting days were pretty much over when I met him, but I still heard the stories. It's funny that he was mentioned here, because a few of us old timers were talking about him yesterday at the gun club.
Met Arnold a few times . There were some really fine trap shooters that came out of a certain era. Roy Tiggs is also a local boy.
