Opinions welcome please..
My first post here, I hope I'm in the right place.
I had a listing that sold under 'buy now', the communication was great, etc. He called me to make sure he had the right amount. He mailed the USPS money order on January 3, texted me a picture of the MO and the receipt for mailing with tracking number. He also sent a picture of the same model but different color saying he 'always wanted the black one to go with his sand one'. And then...
Yesterday I received his message though GunBroker that he had cancelled the sale. I reached out to him through GB, also texted him asking if he would mind telling me why he cancelled. No response at all.
In the meanwhile his USPS money order is supposed to arrive tomorrow, and GunBroker.com has not cancelled the sale. I reached out to GB yesterday and today and have not received a response yet.
So to the experts, HELP! What should I do?

Send him the black one.
If you have the money and the gun then the ball is in your court. Why was the sale "cancelled??" Did you offer a return?? The guy should have contacted you if he decided to change the rules in the middle of the game.
I would wait to see if the m/o shows up, and then call the buyer and see what you can work out. Bidding on the auction side is a binding agreement, at least it used to be. Listing fee's can be returned if the item is re listed, an NPB is filed thru the auction side and the item is re listed. Good luck, I, as well as many others here, have been thru the same thing.. It will all work out.
Thank you, I hope I get a response from GB soon since it is still showing as sold.
He did not say why he was cancelling in his message through GB, and he has not responded to my asking him 'if he would mind telling me why he was cancelling'. My listing said "no returns all sales final".
If you get it, don't spend the money order until it clears the bank.
.....and do not ship the item until the money order clears the bank as well.
Good advice, though the USPS MO should be good.
My listing said "no returns all sales final".
That sentence is all he needs to know. Cash the MO, and send him the gun, a done deal. It's not your fault, you followed the rules, he didn't.

Sounds like he bought it and, maybe his wife didn’t approve and cancelled it for him. That’s to bad for him. Cash the check and send to his FFL. After check clears.
Thank you so much for your responses, I really appreciate the guidance.
If the money order does arrive I will make one more attempt to contact him, them I'm going to cash the money order and wait a few days to ship to his designated FFL.
As waltermoe suggested I am also wondering if his wife objected, and he is embarrassed, which is why he did not respond to my inquiry.
I also recommend not selling to him in the future.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Don't cancel the sale
If he doesn't want to complete the sale and you get the MO charge him a 15% restocking charge
"He mailed the USPS money order"............IF the m/o arrives as stated, go to the post office and get cash. then ship the item.
If the value of the MO is very high most post offices probably will not have the cash on hand to cash it. If so, just deposit it and ship the item.
Actually heard from the buyer like nothing ever happened. The only thing I can think is he found out from GB that he couldn't cancel.
Money order got here today, deposited it and went by my FFL and he is shipping it tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who responded, I really appreciate the support.
My bank will know if the MO is good in 15 seconds, cash it and then advise the buyer that it was received and item will be shipping to his FFL. course, depends on other issues also.
