A dynamometers function is to measure torque or G,rip strength.
Are you finding for ft./lbs, newton/ meters, etc. ? ... You must define your parameters.
Horsepower equals torque multiplied by rpm. H = T x rpm/5252,
9 Gs is a pingpong ball being hit HARD.
9 Gs is missing a ditch jump on a mountain bike and impacting the far wall with your chest, with puke ensuing.
9 Gs is being checked into the boards at top speed in a hockey game with the Big Boys.
9 Gs acceleration isn't achieved by tires on tarmac, so dynos are irrelevant.
A BMW M3 can achieve 1G of braking which is 32 f/sec^2 or 22mph/sec. So 9G acceleration would be 198mph/sec.
A top fuel dragster can accelerate 0 - 160k/h in 0.86 sec, or 5.3G.
You can pull 9Gs in some fighter aircraft. At 9Gs, your 200 pounds "weighs" 1800. Your 10-pound arms weigh 90 pounds each. Your 20-pound head with its five-pound helmet weighs 225 pounds.
Now, try to deftly control the stick and throttle, and turn your head to look over your shoulder.
The planes I flew maxxed at 5Gs, and we seldom took them over four in maneuvers, but even at four Gs, it is a struggle to hold your head up. You also must sequentially tighten your muscles from your calves up to squeeze blood back to your head - or you'll pass out.
I'll stick with the recliner and remote....
9G's at my age may make my waist a 30 again, but it would make my knees a 48...........
That's why flying fighters is a young man's game, toad. Geezers would be goners.
In my mind, I'm still that chit-hot young stud bending jets around the sky. But in my body, I'm Recliner Man.
4 more than a 5G phone
I can’t imagine 9 g’s and still being in control.
I flew an L-39 and the most we did was 6 g’s and that was excruciating.
What does a dyne centimeter say?
"Erg"
Rocky, is this why Air Force pilots wear G-Strings?

Several years ago I had an appointment at the Federal Building in downtown Detroit. The place I had to be was on the top floor of that skyscraper. A gal in the lobby pointed me in the direction of the EXPRESS elevator. I got in and pushed the button. I blacked out for several seconds and nearly started to buckle at the knees before the elevator door opened. 😲
LOL! Don, you bet. But we were tough enough that we got them from guitars.
We called our G-suits "Fast Pants" They were like chaps and had inflatable bladders in the calves, thighs, and across the abdomen. A sensor in the plane fed air to those bladders as Gs increased. The bladders squeezed you like a toothpaste tube to force blood back to your head, but you still had to do the M-1 Maneuver where you tightened all those muscles while you blow air out. (If you held your breath while doing this, it actually made you black out sooner.)
You can always flip out the recliner footrest real quick Rocky and make it feel like a take off....
Just incredible. Grateful for our pilots.
It's the amount of force required to push your belly button out the closest orifice.
Lotta truth there. I don't know a high-G pilot who has not had a hernia, 'roids - or both. Mine was a hernia. No 'roids.
That's probably because Vietnam taught me to pucker up so tight you couldn't have driven a needle up my butt with a jackhammer.
This was posted today by a former F-14 guy. I think it'll open your eyes a bit about Gs...

..In total awe,,,
Thanks for that link Rocky, and for sharing your knowledge and experience.
9 Gs will get you a full tank of gas and a fridge almost full of groceries. Thanks Joe.
Only if it is a small fridge.😕
I’ve went up an done aerobatics when I was younger, 3 to 3 1/2 Gs. All I could say about 9 Gs is it would have to hurt. I remember after about 20 minutes of aerobatics, afterwards you felt pretty worn out.
Rocky- equal time for the Navy!

9gs sucks. Sudden onset is even worse and will quickly black you out. Gsuit, muscle tightening, and a “hick” breathing maneuver will get you through for a few seconds. This crap is best left to our young ones that still have chit to prove.
As an instructor pilot, I often flew twice a day. Aerobatics days were brutal. Even though we didn't plan to exceed 4 Gs, students can be ham-handed on the controls. And that plane didn't have a G-suit system, so we flew without them.
Went up in a P51 a few years back. Pilot did loops and rolls over Lake Coeur d’Alene, mostly 1G acrobatics, but he did pull a few 3G turns.
3 was plenty fo this guy.
