11.15 video looks like some Eagle Rare Kentucky bourbon ..
Local Sheriff wrecked the department Dodge patrol car, knocked down 50 yards of fence, broke off a power pole, and the electric line set fire to couple hundred big round bales of hay. He wasn't responding to an emergency-just letting the Dodge do some hill hopping. The county covered the losses/costs. No charges, no reprimand (that was talked about anyway), and he was re-elected during the next election.

Sheriffs are elected officials. Bout the only way to get rid of them is vote them out or they resign.
But don't state troopers treat everyone this way? Speeding 120+ mph, lying to police, carrying a loaded firearm while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated.....these are all minor things which I am sure you or I would have plea bargained down to nothing if we were in this guy's position.

Yeah, that badge makes him 'better' than us common citizens.
About 30 years back, a MO Hwy patrolman was caught in bed with my friend's wife while the trooper was SUPPOSED to be on the road working(parked his patrol car in the driveway-how brazen is that?). The woman's husband got arrested for threatening to beat his *(charges dropped by judge) and the trooper was promoted to Corporal. Absolutely no double standards???????

Once upon a time, that was true. With cameras everywhere, the "code" is pretty much a thing of the past.
