I am not sure how to tell you this but you missed some! Don
Yeah, I'd hire somebody. You just sit on the couch and keep searching GB for that new gun. The car will thank you.
The good news was the neighbor ran his blade up and down our 150+ feet of driveway so that made it a lot easier over all
Where do you have to go?
Appointments ended up being cancelled...Need to attend them tomorrow...
About 12" of snow yesterday and last night. Friend came and plowed our 450' driveway this morning. Our biggest problem was the large pine branch that fell on our power line. The power guys were out here within an hour or so after we called and got it taken care of. Must be a pretty strong cable that comes from the road to the pole near the house. Road conditions still suck but neither one of us have to go anywhere proving once again how good being retired is. Bob
Power goes out maybe some of the neighbor kids will pick up a shovel instead of playing video games
Whoa,,,
As a kid, I spent so much time shoveling snow, I had to have the shovel surgically removed from my hands every April.😉
Where is Martha in all this mess? Does she have plenty of food stored up? -------------Ray
Martha is hanging out in the garage.....I took her outside yesterday to let her run around. She look scared and ran back into the garage. I think all the snow was freaking her out. She came back out for a few minutes to look around and started toward the front porch where she usually hangs out....it still had snow on it and she turned around again and came back in.
I have sat with her in my truck and played with her a couple times each day just to keep her engaged. Near zero outside tonight but in the 30 tomorrow so we will give it try outside for some time tomorrow..
About 1962, we had an ice storm. My best friend and I put chains all the way around on his Jeep and made a tidy sum pulling folks out of ditches and up hills, and making grocery trips for our neighbors. We didn't agree on a price before we moved them, just took whatever they offered. I don't see that happening today, we'd probably get stiffed.
That is a LOT of work! So pretty though. It looks like a bunch is about to slide off your roof. Alabama would be shut down for days and days with that sort of snow.
I had to knock that off the roof before it started bending the gutters !! Several counties around us are pretty much shut down for now. Above freezing weather coming so hopefully they will get caught up on the roads.
I feel your pain. It's 1:15 a.m. here in Georgia and it's 62° brrrr. I guess I can turn that AC off now.
Got out today without any issues. Between the motor grader rolling down our road and FWD we made it to where we needed to go. Even hit the diner for a great breakfast to start the day...
Martha is out on the back porch where the sun will be on her most of the day. She jumped right into a snow drift when we let her out. This is the first real snow she has seen. Fun to watch her figuring it out !! She will be back in the garage tonight as it will be below zero again tonight...Temps in the 40's coming next week.
