Seller ignores message and sends to wrong ffl. What should I do?
first I want to say that I acknowledge that I committed the first mistake and should have updated my ffl saved to my profile before making the purchase….
here is what happened. I had an incident the last time I went to get a gun from my ffl… (basically an employee there was very rude insulting and unprofessional… rude enough that I told them they have a right to their opinion and I have a right to take my business elsewhere) just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I’m an idiot. I should have updated my profile to my new ffl before making any purchases but I forgot. Well, I won a gun and a day or 2 later I jumped on and submitted my payment. In my head I was thinking that it would ask me to submit ffl info because I hadn’t had the old one saved to my profile for very long and had been entering it every time basically since I first started using gb.
By the time I realized my mistake the transaction was already wrapped up. I IMMEDIATELY selected the “contact seller” option as soon as the payment was made and told them that I did not wish to use the ffl on file and that I was updated my default saved to my profile and also sent them my new ffls info right then and there.
the seller didn’t respond and shipped the gun and it wasn’t until i got the notification it was delivered did I realize it was shipped to the old ffl, whom after our confrontation, I have no desire to speak to, see, or patronize with my business.
what should I do here?

Eat crow and go get your gun, a generous $$ tip should also bee in the order.
Go get your gun.
Go get your gun.--------------Ray
Geeze, swallow your pride and get the gun.
Nothing to do except go pick your gun up.
They were just going by the information available at the time. Be thankful for the prompt service.
I would just forget it. Your pride is worth more than whatever you paid for the gun. Don
Sounds like a beef with an employee who works for the FFL. Call up and speak to the FFL directly. Go get your gun.
Go and get your gun.
Just PM me the name of the “rude” FFL. I’ll spare you the pride-swallowing trauma of dealing with them by having them ship it to me.
OR (since nobody has mentioned it yet)….just go get your gun.
MC, that chart made me dizzy, I think it may made me a bit quizzes.🙃
No real choice except to go get it....See above for more help !!! 🙄
Just keep your cool and get it over with.
Give me the address, I will go get it and save you the trouble......thanks.
Carry a big stick and go get it. Journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. --Ray
Please keep us updated on the progress of this purchase/delivery and whether or not you WENT AND GOT THE GUN. 😯
If you REALLY want to waste your money you could go to another FFL and have it transfered to them, then go pick it up, you will most likely have to pay both FFLs a transfer fee if the ones holding it now WILL transfer it to another FFL without a big fight. IF you DISLIKE them that much, CHANGE IT NOW, so it won't happen again.........
Oh and if none of the above suggestions will work for you, just GO GET THE GUN!
By the time all this is said and done, the fees and re-shipping on this little Taurus G2S is going to turn it into a Taurus G2$.
In the end, you’ve already given the “rude” FFL your money. No way around it.
Every retailer has a bad day from time to time (customers aren’t always that easy to please). Just give the dealer another shot. If you still don’t like them, move on.
Seriously, the beef with your dealer seems one-sided (you). The fact that he's doing the transfer indicates he probably doesn't even remember you.
Relations between dealers and customers have been strained during COVID and the first months of Biden. No inventory, long lines, and prices up 50% or more Unless you did something outrageous inside the shop like trying to burn it down, the chances are that the dealer won't even remember you. It would be like me trying to keep track of every person I've tossed out of the forum in the last two years! Impossible.
Just take a deep breath, walk into the gun store and say, "Hello, I'm Ms. Cottamb. I'm here to pick up a gun."
I'm betting you'll pay your money, fill out the 4473 and walk out the door with your gun without attracting any attention. Good luck.
It has been said already,,,
Where is it? I'll go pick it up if you don't want it.
You made a mistake not changing the information ahead of the purchase. Go pick the gun up and never go back. I also have ffl's I will not do business with. Rude costumer service should not be rewarded with repeat business. Lesson learned and move on.
Go over there and kick the door in and tell him "it's my GUN and I want it NOW"!!
Note: You might want to be prepared to dive for cover.
Or you could just go over there and get your gun.
and wear a hoodie and a ski mask so they will not recognize you.
Don't forget to ask if they have any ammo? You might consider buying something else in the store while there. That will show the FFL you will use them again.

What make and model gun did you get??
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that maybe .................. the OP at some point made a scene and possibly a dramatic "exit" the last time and she may be embarrassed to go back. Personally, I'd go get the gun.
Does the FFL have to give it to her? Technically, it is their gun, logged into their book. It will remain their gun until they log it out to someone.
I would reckon if she doesn't show up the FFL will contact her . IF there is something really dumb going on and she burned the whole bridge the FFL may charge her a large sum to transfer..if in she doesn't like to eat crow.
No, but the question arises as to why the OP (or anyone) has access the dealer's FFL?
Obviously the FFL was provided for the transfer of a firearm. I have given close friends a copy my FFL which they use it when they order guns. Back on point, her having the FFL is sufficient to cause the dealer to release the firearm, though only after all fees and taxes have been paid. As already mentioned, if the dealer holds the same type of grudge as the OP appears to have, the transfer fee could be astronomical!
I really hope that this one sorts itself out, and that both parties walk away satisfied.
The transfer FFL probably uploaded it to GB's system. It's an option. "FFL on file", some FFL's put it on so when they are selected as a transfer dealer they don't have to bother sending one.
I chose not to upload ours.
shootuadeal yes sir the last time I won an auction, I selected an FFL from GB system and the system automatically sent my preferred ffl to the seller, this is what I believe the OP had happen. Which reminds me I need to change my preferred since my guy retired...
This happens to us from time to time....we'll get all the notifications for the sales that ended, matching up the payments to all the FFLs that are sent in and we QUICKLY start making the shipping labels for the items that go out. Then, somewhere around mid day after the shipping is all done we will get a random message..."you sent the gun to the wrong FFL." Heck no, I didn't...we sent it exactly where we were told to send it. Then, they will try to say they fixed the information before it was sent. They'll go in and change their FFL and try to say it was like this from the beginning. We can actually see when the information was changed....so that is just silly to even try. Its totally NOT the sellers fault and everything wrong is on your end. The minute that the auction ends we are sent the FFLs. If there is any issue with what is going on you'd better get us on the phone before the shipping is picked up because we can't fix it once its handed over to the carriers. We have around 100 auctions per week ending....imagine the number of emails we get. You cannot depend on anything urgent getting handled via email here.
There is a fix though....if your seller can contact the dealer it was sent to and get them to ship it on over to the correct dealer it is possible that you wouldn't have to go there to get it. Its all on your seller to contact them, produce a shipping label to the right place. How much this will cost you is up to them.
