well we are both home with mild doses of this crap...and we had 2 Moderna shots and later the booster along with the flu shot.....now i firmly believe this has given us a decent amount of protection....in our small town one family did not get the shots and now dad is dead, two daughters dead, and a son -in-law dead....leaving a 72 year old mother to raise an 18 month old and one a little older.... i just went in the a local hospital yesterday eve and got and infusion of antibody liquid to carry me on thru.... this crud will never end , just changing shape and ......be PREPARED

Wish a speedy recovery and the best for all of you, but I worry more about government will do rather than Covid.

    Get better soon.

The point is he didnt wind up dead or on a ventalator. He has s mild case! He went to the hospital for an infusion, not bed ridden and deathly sick. Most of the people that wont get a shot are afraid to get a little prick in the arm. Ill take the advice of a shot any day.

Several members of my family had covid this year. Out of 12, only 1 was vaccinated. EVERYONE healed nicely with mild effects. Vaxed one ended up in the hospital for 3 days. NONE of the unvaxed we're hospitalized.

Just sayin, it affects everyone even vaxed and boosted(which is a stupid term)

hope the best for you and a full recovery

wife oldest son and I went thru it wife got hit the worst . none of us had any shots side effects and unknow long term we stayed away one of my of younger sisters spent well over a month in the hospital most of in knocked out and full of tubes keeping her going . she is not alwet and sitting up looks like she will be ok ( I am all most positive she had the shots as she was working with a group that went to houses to help the older people with food and support where she picked it up )

wife had several relatives die from it late last fall early winter .

its like a roll of the dice so many things and factors play a part in how bad each person witll react

for those who get the shots I understand and nnhave no issue for people like me I still say my body my choice if I die due it so be it . but supposledy I have imuinty now from having it already

but who knows what th elabs will cook up next month . that could be worse

my wife lost her sense of taste and smell its slowly coming back thank goodness but may never be the same as before our family doc said it has been over a year for him and he still has no tase or smell sensations

Glad you both are doing okay. I'm curious why the infusion was given as you had the shots earlier and should already have antibodies present. Perhaps a high risk factor.

Hope you are both feeling better. At my age I decided to get the vaccine and had the same regimen you had.

    Scouts.

Where did you hear that shots gave you anti bodies?

The shots do force the body to create antibodies to the spike protein. There is no question about that. The question is whether the spike protein antibody response provides any practical/robust protection from the natural/whole virus. The answer is seemingly: it does not, not even remotely.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

I don't think the jab produces antibodies, at least what my simple mind understands. The Infusions contain antibodies from a donor that has had covid.

I know folks that have had covid, then jabs, and re jabbed, they have antibodies and their doctors says that are very protected from the virus. But who knows. They had the covid before covid was covid.

My comment before should have had covid + antibodies.

Kinda of like one of my friends, has a cancer that has no cure but they are infusing him with some sort of meds to boost his immune system.
