On this date in history, John Moses Browning's patent for the 1911 pistol was granted: Feb, 14, 1911
And the rest is, as they say, history. And so is the stuff that happened before that.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

If you close one eye and kinda turn your head it looks a little like a Valentines heart too. ❤️
It would be interesting if one could speak to John Browning, and explain to him about injection molding, and see the reaction on his face.
His design is a true master piece of his day.
Man, if he only had had some plastic, he could have built a dependable gun.
Yeah, and how many generations of each model is there????? Perferction.
I don't know. I don't see many new guns anymore but the last I knew there were five. I don't own any Gen 5 guns. If memory serves, I still own a 20 and a 21, and a 27, and a 30. I think those are all the Glocks I have. I got my first handgun 47 years ago, an old model Ruger Blackhawk, short barreled .357. Since then, I have owned several hundred handguns and shot more. I probably only have twenty or so right now, and they all shoot very well. But when I leave this office tonight a Glock will be with me and when I lay down later another Glock will be a few inches from my head, in case I need it to get to my Mossberg 590 if there is trouble. I don't care what anyone else thinks, it is a very personal choice. But in my opinion, there is no better semi auto pistol for defense that is now or has ever been made. And I still own a couple of good 1911 pistols. Nothing is perfect, but for a defensive handgun, in my opinion, Glock comes pretty close.
AND THEY COME IN PRETTY COLORS!!!
No.
I took the trash and plastic bottles out today, and as I was looking in the recycle bin I thought to myself, My God, it’s full of Glocks.
I can't keep up with them
