Thunder

Not that big of a deal in Missouri in the summer. Thunder in the winter when it's sleeting, a rare occurrence. So far I think in the past 30 hours or so we have had about .75 inches of sleet. Roads are pure ice.

Yep, we have the sleet and icy roads here in Texas, but no thunder so far, stay safe!
A thundersnowstorm is indeed unusual, but not unheard of (pun intended) Snowstorms don't usually have convective activity, but in mountainous terrain, there's always orographic uplift.
Pray for no power outages
I live in the Ozarks, really old mountains. Went from distant thunder to a boomer so loud it freaked the freeloaders. Lightning must have struck within 500 yards of the house. We now have sleet/freezing rain. I would prefer sleet all day long.
I will settle for sleet too...I am always happy when the freezing rain changes over. Less chance of power outages !
Old times say ti will turn colder soon thereafter thunder in winter months.
A storm with snow and lightning at night is a wonder to behold.
My mom grew up in the Ozarks. When we visited I saw the most amazing lightning and thunder I've ever seen.
