He is a Senior and last week he recorded his 100th high school win! He is about as tough as a 120 pounder can be. His discipline and self control is seriously impressive. It takes a lot of guts to make weight all season long. I would guess his normal weight is 135 to 140 pounds. I wish I had his self control!! I would sure weigh a lot less! 😁

Tough sport... I hope he does well this weekend !!!!
Remarkable accomplishment!
Pretty darn good record there. WTG. Good luck in upcoming matches.
Sounds like a winner regardless of how the weekend plays out. Best to him!
Hope he does well! That is a tough sport.
Best wishes sent his way.
Good for him! It's a rare boy that has that amount of focus and determination.
If we are speaking wrestling his focus is like a laser beam. He will be wrestling in college. He isn't bad academically but his focus academically should have been better. His attitude was do just good enough to get into the college he wants to go to so he can wrestle.
The big thing is he is a real good kid. I spent a lot of time alone with him as I was teaching him to drive. My driver training teaching method is real simple. Miles and miles, hours and even more hours of country roads. 3 to 4 hours at a time. A couple of times per week. A lot of time for talking.
Good for him.Let us know how he does.
Best of luck
Sweet, keep us posted.
State was last weekend up here.
Congratulations on his accomplishments thus far and good luck for continued success!
Good luck!
Congrats, HOPEFULLY he will get a scholarship to wrestle in college.
Also, those skills will NEVER go away. You would be amazed at how much wrestling translates over to SELF DEFENSE!
That is a VERY VERY demanding sport but the skills are automatic after years of training. People think wrestling is easy because of the short time periods, BUT that is the most demanding, physically and mentally demanding sport that I have ever participated in.
Good luck to him! Let us know how it works out!
Our best to him. I look forward to a report.
Congrats to you son......it's a VERY demanding sport.
From 1968 to 1972 I worked part time as a desk clerk at Iba Hall, the athletic dorm, at Okla. State Univ. At that time OSU had won more than half of the NCAA National Team titles that had ever been competed for. The National Collegiate Wrestling Hall Of Fame is in Stillwater, OK.
Got to know many of the wrestlers.....some personally......they were ALL Alpha Males, including their coach Myron Roderick(Myron was also a dang fine racquetball player......tough as nails). John Smith is the current coach.
One of my college roommates was an Oklahoma District Wrestling Champion......who went on to receive his PHD in Chemistry, and later to Chair the chemistry dept. at Cornell Univ.
Your son's focus and drive, with your guidance, will help take him far in life..............good luck to him.
Good luck!!!

I would say good luck, but that has nothing to do with it. Keep focused and persevere. May he achieve his desired outcome.
Btw, my GPA in HS and university had no bearing on employment status. Employers only checked to see I had completed my education. They were more impressed with my work ethic and ability to complete any given task. Sounds as if the grandson will excel if it is something that interests him.
