My stupid question #1

So, if you have stocked your retail shop with Russian vodka and now want to thumb your nose at Putin, how is pouring said vodka down the drain accomplishing your objective?
Have you not just shown the world you are an idiot? Russian vodka distillers have already received your money as have their distributors and shippers. You just poured your own money down the drain. Would not a better idea be to jack the price, sell the vodka and give the proceeds to Ukrainian humanitarian support agencies?
Knee jerk jerks.

Agree! DUMB-DA-DUMB DUMB
I seem to remember in 1983 or 1984 the bars in Reno were pouring Stolichnaya vodka out. I didn't care. I drank Wild Turkey 101.
Is anyone putting their Russian ammo into a boat and dumping in a lake? Are they boycotting the further purchase of Russian ammo...or better still, is anyone praising President Biden for having the foresight last year to block imports of Russian ammunition?
I may just shoot mine up in Protest....
People love to make emotional gestures that make them feel good. These rarely have any tangible impact on anything.
And BTW, we are still importing Russian oil..................
Same as the BLM's bunch of idiots that burn down their own neighborhood in protest of what ever it is.
As you alluded, the best payback within reach for most of us to Russia is the success of capitalism. Therefore profiting from Russian booze is better than dumping it.
I think we should dump all messican tequila, too.
I agree
its already bought and paid for
but the same with people burning fan appeal or posters that had paid for ..
ya that show em I just burned up 100 bucks worth of the merch ..
like posted just feel good about my self get noticed
but our Governor just ordered all Russia Vodka taken off the shelfs and no sales
again just stop ordering it what the stores have is paid for many times over
I dont drink but if you feel compiled just sent it and the Russian guns and ammo to me or just the guns and ammo will be fine LOL
too much trouble to ship the vodka
I say they should give it away so we drink it, convert into urine & then piss it away.
It is nothing but a meaningless, expensive feel good gesture. Watching the news tonight, they had a segment on all of the protests here in the U.S. supporting the Ukrainians. A bunch of well meaning folks waving signs and chanting their support but what good does it do? I am sure Putin isn't paying any attention. Folks getting bombed by the Russians probably don't feel any better knowing the Russian embassy here is being picketed. I guess it gives the protesters a warm fuzzy feeling but doesn't accomplish a whole lot. Bob
I think we should offer it to putins people in russia when they turn on him
It is indeed moronic to stop the sale of existing supplies. An edict to stop any further imports would be slightly effective, and would also drive up sales, thus benefiting the retailer.
Either action is legally dubious, of course.
When France refused to join us in the insane Iraq War, many good patriots quit selling French Fries at their restaurants. They renamed them "Freedom Fries."
Also I remember many restaurants pouring bottles of expensive French wine into the gutter. Boy, that really showed those French chickens!
I guess they forgot about the massive assistance that France gave us during the Revolutionary War.
If you have stocked your shop with Russian vodka, I don't recommend pouring it out, but you may have a hard time selling it. Maybe put it in the store room until this situation changes.
Yeah, not buying from the Russian people will sure put a hurt on Putin. 🙄
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Empty and totally meaningless gestures.
If anyone has a notion to throw out their Russian ammo... let me know 😁
I would tell the mayor I'll take it off my shelf when you buy it.
I thought the same thing about pouring it out.
Allen I think the French thing was when we bombed Libya in 86. France would not allow our planes to cross their airspace. France did help us out during the revolution but I think it was more hurt the British than help the Americans. In 1797 we were de-facto at war with the French over the XYZ affair or Quasi War.
It makes as much sense as being energy efficient and then shutting everything down and buying oil from the ones you are putting sanctions on.
Or the Iranians.
