Truck holds 33 gallons if I'm running on fumes. Headed to Little Rock tomorrow to see #4 play football. #1 and her offspring will be joining me. We either take my truck or her Suburban. Either way the cost will equal a mini vacation.
I'm driving the car as much as possible. 37 mpg is much easier on the wallet than 14 mpg.
3/4/2022 @ 8:45 PM , Monroe, NY, Regular gas last night was $3.799 and tonight it is $4.199 a 40 cent increase. Some of this has to be gouging? ------------------------------Ray
Buckshot Joe will blame this on the Russia-Ukraine war. Just watch, every downturn in the American economy will be due to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Reporting says..1.5% of oil comes from Russia ...My Bad I initially was over
In 2021, the U.S. imported an average of 209,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and 500,000 bpd of other petroleum products from Russia. Although Russian crude accounts for only three percent of U.S. crude oil imports and about one percent of total crude oil processed by U.S. refineries—Russian crude oil imports are important to refineries on the West Coast and Gulf Coast. stopped at sam's club...$3.24 but the lines were a mile long. everything else is at $3.79 a gallon. and it was at $ 3.43 on monday, just terrible and if a barrel of oil keeps going up as they predict, it'll be a $5 in no time.
"Generally".....the NYMEX wholesale gasoline price is about 50 cents less than retail. Of course, regional prices vary.
BTW......NYMEX gasoline prices are going up FAST.....in concert with WTI oil, which closed Friday at $115(note: the old record high was about $146). Heck.....some financial "experts" are throwing out $185 future possibilities.......wow!!
I still haven't bought any gas for my car since before June died last October and it's still got a half tank. I filled up my Truck in January and it's still setting on full. So gas prices don't really matter much to me anymore.
Same here Smitty. Have been my Diane's caregiver for four years now. My almost new Ram Laramie Longhorn will be three years old in December and has only 6,000 miles on it. Gas price means nothing now but if I ever make it back to my home in Virginia (nine hour drive) I will be hurting.------------------------------------Ray
My Chevy Silverado 4x4 gets 17/18 mpg, if gas gets to $25 per gal. I'm buying because I'm not walking 18 miles to save that $25, hopefully my walking days are long gone. I do agree that with oil being plentiful here in the U.S it's stupid & it sucks to be buying oil from Russia....even the Arabs at these ridiculous or for any price and I'm just as mad as everyone else.

I filled up my car this morning at $3.39.9 per gallon. A few hours later, the same station was selling for $3.69.9 - a jump of 30 cents per gallon. Thanks to Brandon.
People will get in line for thirty minutes to save ten cents a gallon. On twenty gallons that is two dollars. I don't see the savings. I did fill my truck up today and it cost 106.00. Don
Looks like The new green deal is working and you can blame it all on Putin but this is just the beginning as this trickles down to every thing you buy when the supply chain catches up to the new prices! Of course there will be a new crisis later on to keep the pressure on the system to curtail those CO2 emissions even more.
Like a carbon tax to fund equity social programs to house the poor and feed them. I bet Biden already has it on the agenda and waiting to spring it on the we the people!
The 13-member council was chaired by Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz (U.S.) and Lord Nicholas Stern (U.K.) and was drawn from seven other countries as well: Brazil, France, China, India, Indonesia, Mali and South Africa.
The report “identif[ied] the range of carbon prices that, together with other supportive policies, would deliver on the Paris climate targets agreed by nearly 200 countries in December 2015,” according to the council’s press release, which was issued under the title, Leading Economists: A Strong Carbon Price Needed to Drive Large-Scale Climate Action. It found that “meeting the world’s agreed climate goals in the most cost-effective way while fostering growth requires countries to set a strong carbon price, with the goal of reaching $40-$80 per metric ton of CO2 by 2020 and $50-100 per metric ton by 2030.”
Many people in my county work in the next country. They drive to and from work on the four lane in front of my house. It's very rare to see more than one person in each car.
Just did a 3000 mile shake down cruise in the new to me motorhome. Diesel was mostly less than $4.00 a gallon and it gets 8 to 10 miles to the gallon with a 1/2 ton Silverado flat tow.
At this point in my life I don't care about the cost of fuel. I will go where I wanna go, do what I wanna do.

Now they are just running the price up for fun to pinch the people. As stated before only 1 per cent of the oil from Russia is refined into gas and diesel.

Well, our leaders (?) need to put the blame on something. Trump & covid were getting old so the war comes to the rescue.
Give it 30 days and there will be lectures from Sleepy Joe about electric cars

All of my assorted gas and diesel cans are full and sitting in their place out in the garage.
Sadly, these are now the best investments I have made in quite some time.😕
