Oooooops, wrong ‘forum’ ,,,,,,,,, Mods, please move.
If’n you really wanted to work a long time ago, you could hang off a cliff and build a ‘flume’ to bring water to some mines down the Dolores River..
Remnants of the wooden flume are far right, middle of photo, on the smooth, vertical walls.
Extreme western Colorado, where the mountain lions outnumber the people.

There ya go @forgemonkey 😀
Nope, no way. Not hanging off the side of a cliff.
Beautiful country. I love touring the world through the eyes and generosity of others posting their photos.
the Delores River is one of the very few rivers in north America that flows 'north'. I hunted in that area for over 10 years.
Yeah, Mike there are several rivers in my area that flow primarily north before joining the Colorado River.
As does the New River. Nevertheless, they all flow downhill.
Beautiful picture, by the way.
Another "vertical" river! Good grief! Used to hunt deer between the White and the Yampa, but never that far south.
Me and friend of mine hunted that area in 91 and 92. Rough country on foot but it had some nice deer there. I made one of the best shots of my life on a nice mule deer. I was young then and in great shape, we would walk 5 to 10k every day. Packing out the animal on foot was a bear. It would have been easier to build a fire and eat the dang thnig right there.
Your right there was a lot of Cat sign and bear too.
