PB&J how do you make it?

The way that I make my sandwich is plain ole white bread. Spread a generous amount of PB on both slices. Add a big spoonful of apple jelly for the middle. What could be better than that? What say you...

No bread. Large white flour tortillas. Extra-crunchy peanut butter and home-made strawberry jam. Double-layered.

PB on one slice of bread, jelly on the other slice, and then allow the two slices of bread to join forces as a PBJ sandwich.
I had one for lunch. Two slices of oatmeal bread, almond butter and Smucker's Peach Preserves.
Crunchy Peanut butter spread thick on one side of oat nut bread....grape jelly on the other slice....a necessary smooch together and a big glass of milk to top it off......
Tons of peanut butter, cut up banana between two white slices.
Dave’s Killer bread, 21 grains, butter one side followed by Adam’s crunchy PB, jelly on other side, JAM them together and wolf it down! Mmmmmmm, good!
Any kind of bread, peanut butter spread thick, as much honey as you can mixed into the peanut butter, my bride's crabapple jelly.
This is how I eat PBJ. 1 jar peter pan creamy PB, 1 jar fresh strawberry jam. 4 slices very fresh bread, glass ice cold milk.
One sammich PB and the other slathered with Strawberry jamb. No need to mix two great sammich fixins on one sammich.
Flush with cow juice, yum yum.
For a Emerial knock it up a bit try toasting them before eating, delish.
I don't eat pb&j, or drink milk.

question do they still make the PBJ mix in a jar I seem to remember years ago you could buy it pre swirled in a jar at the stores I do not remember its name or who made it

2 pieces of Sara Lee butter bread with PB on one piece and grape J on the other one. Assemble and repeat as req'd.
That premixed PB&J is some nasty stuff.
Pretty much the same as Mark C. said pb on one slice jelly on the other, any kind of bread I have usually honey wheat but whole wheat, white or others will do. As for toasted bread, well I only want the pb on that and it usually is later at night... kinda like now so what the heck it sounds good, later!

All this talk of PB&J sandwiches led me to make and devour one !
On the subject of PB&J, I recently bought a double jar deal of Welches Grape Jelly from Sam's Club that is so thick that it wrecks the bread when I try to spread it! 😣
I decided that toasting the bread was my only option to solve this major dilemma, but may try heating said jelly in the microwave before applying to softer bread??
Going back in time, I remember the brand of that P&J mix in one jar was called "GOOBER JELLY" and it was gross!
While I haven't had one in about 70 years my grandmother Lachnit made them with jelly on both sides of white bread and peanut butter in the middle. Miss you Bubbie.
I have one at least once a week.
2 slices of whole wheat bread both buttered
Thick glob of Jif extra crunchy PB on one slice
Big glob of Black Rasberry Jam on the other slice
Low salt potato chips
Beverage of the day on the side

Have to add in my wife likes them or just plain PB sandwiches but she has to share with our husky if a PB jar is open the dog will appear instantly lol

Pretty much any kind of peanut butter + whatever jelly is on hand at the moment but it has to be on a couple of slices of good crusty bread like sourdough. A strange tip that someone gave me years ago is a small sprinkle of salt shaken on the pb side before slapping the two halves together. I was skeptical, but figured that I eat salted peanuts so why not try it. Tried it once and I was hooked. The small amount of salt really makes the taste pop. Kind of a sweet, salty, gooey version of delight. Bob
Two slices sour dough bread, thick cut, Skippy butter, blackberry or strawberry jam, five slices thick cut bacon, fried crisp, toast bread and add ingredients. Serve with 2% milk or orange juice. A meal.
I do love a good PB&J with a glass of milk.
For my golf course snack, though, I don't want to have sticky jelly issues on my hands. So, I make a PB and American cheese sammie. I do the same when I pack lunch for a day of fishing.
There seems to be no end of PB and... recipes. Jelly, cheese, banana, bacon, marshmallow, honey, and combinations of the above. All good, really (although I do not like marshmallow anything.)
Another favorite of mine is a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich on white bread!
I just learned that my wife has never eaten a PB&J sandwich. I will have to change that.

I don't...........................I don't make PB&J simply because it is gross............it's also for children. Flame retardant suit just donned.
With lots of bacon and onion. Also no PB or J.
Another favored peanut butter sandwich is with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on instead of jelly. I mostly eat them as open top sandwiches or toast.
My recipe.......over many decades.......
Start with Mrs. Baird's "large"(none of that skinny sandwich stuff) white bread.....the fresher, the better.
Next....spread Jif, and ONLY Jif, smooth peanut butter(none of that "crunchy" junk.....if I want hard peanuts, I'll shell some) across one slice. If you can see ANY of the bread.....you haven't slathered enough on!!
Now add cold Welch's, and ONLY Welch's, grape jelly(none of that jam or preserves crap) on top of the peanut butter......edge to edge....a little dripping of the edge won't hurt anything.
Cover this with another slice of Mrs. Baird's........and yer there!!
If real hungry......repeat the above.
But wait......one must be able to wash down this creation.
Pour a large, or very large, glass of REAL vitamin D(no 1%, 2%, skim, lactose-free, gluten-free, etc. ......need apply) milk......microscopically above freezing temperature. Then.....mix in at least two times the recommended amount of Nestles Quik chocolate(no other flavor allowed) powder. In emergency situations, Hershey's chocolate syrup may be substituted.
Well.....there you have it. Gotta go.......I'm suddenly hungry.
We only eat Simply Jif PB. It has less sugar than most brands (our Grandkids hated it), and NO crunchy for us. I make my PB&J sandwiches with multi grain bread and Welches grape jelly, or simply without the bread, mixed in a bowl and devoured.
Finally! Somebody, grdad45, knows that you mix the CREAMY pb with jelly (grape or red plum are my favs, but whatever jelly you prefer) in a bowl before spreading it on the bread.

Never had one and don't plan to. Maybe if starved which seems likely
I lived on PB & J sandwiches for a couple of months back in the mid 70's. My wife and son (baby) had to travel home to tend to a sick parent and I sent 99% of my very small military earnings with them.
It was several years after before I took up the notion to eat them again.
