Quite a few animals strike with their front feet. Horses, deer, and elk come to mind. A cow elk with a calf can kill a dog in a heartbeat with those front feet. Sad indeed, prayers for the families.
I have been around many, both Dromedary (single hump) and Bactrian ( double bumpers) and have see just a few times they were aggressive with the feet, they normally come at you with that big ol mouth wide open, nasty teeth flashing and a guttural beller. I have been bit at close enough to leave slobbers on my jacket sleeve.
here’s a video, not the one I wanted to show because this camel is tied up, but sequence is the same, camel was going to be slaughtered for food and didn’t take kindly to it.
But in all fairness, the Dromedaries I have been around in the Middle East and North Africa were mostly pretty docile.
That camel in the video didn't even have to strain to pick that guy up by the head. He tossed him around like a sack garbage. I didn't realize they were that aggressive.
They are big and some are very aggressive. I have been around both too and I keep an eye on them at all times. I remember running into a heard of them out in the bush in Kenya. I was glad the camel herders were there.
It was a dozen years ago that the GF and I rode camels in Morocco:
There was no way I wanted to ride one of those critters, but I was shamed into it by the camel handlers. The beast they selected for me could sense my fear and the ride was miserable. On the other hand, the GF thought it was huge fun.

How many more of these incidents must we as Americans endure before we put some “common sense” laws in place on petting zoos?
Have some people spent their common sense, and are now broke?

Tragic, that's not how you want to check out, stomped to death by a camel.
Imagine what they might put on the poor victims headstones.
It was that pack of Camels in the victims pockets. The Camel seen his cousin on the pack of cigarettes and went crazy
bad deal for those two for sure

Mark was that the trip where you took this picture in Turkey? What a poignant monument.
