Flying low today. Heard it and did have enough time to step out to get a pic before it was out of sight.
Some days it's helos, some days cargo carriers.

Looks like a C-130. I think I see external fuel tanks between the engines. Good memories. It's been thirty years since my last flight.
LRAFB C-130J
Noisy here today, power company using a helisaw to trim power line right of way.
Windy and steep terrain, man flying that thing must have balls of steel.😲
@Butchdog2 that must have been a cool thing to see. I agree with you, clang.
My sister is the Registrar for the LRAFB C-130 school. If they've flown a 130 in the past 15 years, they went thru her schoolhouse.
But there’s no chem trails.

Yep, working almost in my front yard.
Some where in the neighborhood of 1200.00 per hour. Might be more this year.
Cheaper and safer than a crew of men.
They are doing a great job, No power loss in the last 2 or 3 years due to wind or storm damage.
we live about 40 miles +/- from Wright Patterson AFB
its interesting to see what may fly over some days depending on training ? deployment and I will guess just air time for the crews and keeping the plane checked out we have been by the base when there doing take off landing exercises touch down then right back up however some days we only hear them due to clouds or they just too high . on rare occasions a group of helicopters will pass over flying low
I prefer the C-130s to these.
