This is a good clean rifle and probably one of the last ones made in New Haven before FN moved production to South Carolina.

That looks just like one of my prairie dog rigs. However mine is in 243, for them big prairie dogs! Mine has been a great rifle and I haven't had to make any modifications. Good luck with the auction. Bob
Those are great rifles. It will do well. BTW, I have been looking for mine around the dwelling and CAN'T FIND IT. Identical cept mine is 308, I don't have a clue. Anyone with STP here can tell me would give them a bottle of Country Bobs if they could tell me.
It's right where you left it Walt...
The last time I saw it you were shooting leaves in a pond.
Very nice looking. Someone is going to be real happy.
What does the 250 part stand for?
I seem to remember, it's parent case is the GREAT Savage 250-3000!
Yep, sxs nailed it Savage 250-3000 AKA just 250 Savage.
I think the caliber is underrated. And besides that the grandkids love to shoot it at the range🙂
Great rifle
Ricci. l have/had one (Son's now) since maybe 2005-2006 in 223/5.56. Went on quite a few prairie dog shoots too. 10yrs back l gave it to my Son. l think its the only CF rifle he owns. He shoots 3 or 4 deer a year using Winchester 64gr Big Game Ammo.. Not mentioned, the 223/5.56 Coyotes had WILSON barrels with 1 in 9" twist. Great accuracy with heavier 62-64gr bullets. ln 2020 l took him on his first prairie dog shoot to the Texas Panhandle. l took 3 Remington 700s. He took ONE gun, the COYOTE. Using the cheapest 55gr Fiocche 223s he could find he also made the longest shot of the trip.🤗
