Over Central Texas right now. First system of the spring. I can hear distant rumbles of thunder as I type. Possible tornadoes and hail.

Yep, we are expecting it here in East Texas as well! Stay safe!
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Confirmed tornadoes on the ground in Round Rock and Jarrell...........close to me but it's not bad where I am now.
Yes.....it is coming your way...........about 30 mph
I just looked at the radar and that was some pretty nasty stuff that came through your area!

coming to south mississippi tomorrow evening. suppose to be a level 4 out of 5 severity.
When I was working in Mississippi for 3 years we had more storms than any place I've ever been. I can't remember ever having just a regular rain. It always included howling wind with horizontal rain with bolts of lightning and thunder. And those tornado sirens must have to have a lot of maintenance done on them since they are used so much.
You all stay safe. Been watching it on the weather Chanell, not good.
A family we are close with from Jackson Wyoming are wintering near the small town of Lipan Texas, yesterday they had to evacuate due to a fast moving fire.
Today they returned in time to evacuate again due a tornado. The Dad texted me this evening that the whole family was pretty on edge and feeling unsettled.
The kids are used to blizzards and avalanches this time of year, not what they are currently experiencing. Definitely a learning experience.

Be safe!
Some of the bad stuff missed me by about 30 miles.......in Jacksboro, Texas.
Tornado tore up a couple of schools.
Be safe people.
I heard that they had some baseball size hail out there somewhere. Those things would kill you if you got hit by one.
It came through Wise county between 5 and 6 pm last night, got a lot of rain in a very short period of time, did some damage north of me, but my place survived with just the rain, by 6:30 sun was back out and the storm was heading south and east.
Here in East Texas, Smith County, we had 3-4 tornados last night; the closest one was about 10 miles Northwest of us and headed Northeast. We had some wind, rain, and hail, but no damage to our home or neighborhood. I measured 2.9 inches of rain between 9pm and midnight and 1.18 inches after midnight and there was a lot of lightning and thunder.
They are out this morning assessing the damage to the areas affected by the storms. There was a lot of "training" with this storm system.
