Interesting that the truck speed increased, but the tire wear was down as well as the fuel usage. Still though, the thought of any vehicle moving on its own is hard for me to trust.
I agree. It is bad enough trying to dodge the cars being driven by people. Hate to try and dodge one of these trucks.
Yes, and they are driving down the interstates of Colorado. 45,000 pounds of Budweiser in the back, and nobody at the wheel.

Uh huh, the drivers in the trailer.....
Wow, the beer truck video was from 2016. Surely things have advanced a lot since back then.
Well, on the other hand, at least these trucks probably aren't texting and driving. I would assume they are probably more attentive with sensors than a human that gets distracted by a phone, or the radio, etc.
Waiting on the video when systems ..computers fail...
I was driving over the road when Budweiser shipped that beer in 2016. The human drove the truck onto the interstate, and then he stood up, and went back to the sleeper and sat down on the bed. The computer drove the truck down the interstate. We watched that video with great interest at my company. Management told me that the computer operated truck was the coming thing, because they could not hire a young driver, less than 30 years old, who could stand to drive 11 hours a day, without texting on his Iphone.
According to the article, these are trucks that are working at mine sites all over the world, not for highway driving.

Yep and a lot of good hard working Americans out of a job! I wonder who is drinking all that beer now? Here in Texas they drive on interstates and drop trailers at Tax free depots and I guess from there they end up at retailers shops.
