Sweet, please put a few pics up when taken ownership. 😊
Awesome! Enjoy the new ride.
It is just like my avatar pic... All Black, Black wheels.
Right off the showroom floor
Watch out for sinkholes, they like Corvettes.
Awesome looking car.
Joe
Is it electric???
That is way cool, congrats.
What are they powered with these days? Had an 80- 4 speed with their std. 389 I believe and it went like hell.
👍 Congrats! It looks sharp. Bob
WOW............is it electric?
That's awful purty, Select! I'd be afraid to drive it!
Congrats on the new car glad you got to buy one
I am happy for you and a bit jealous ok a lot jealous
expect call from greta
Sweet!
Great purchase! Happy for you & congrats!
Very nice.
Did you trade a gun collection for it?
Funny GM announced today about the coming electric Corvette. Figured getting a gas burner before their prices increase.
The end is near for performance cars. Dodge is going to eliminate the Hellcat, Ford is curbing the Mustangs high performance and Chevrolet is most likely to end the Camaro in 2023. I predict some states will cut classic cars away with smog tests and high prices of fuel. It was sure fun while it lasted.
Ohhh MYY, that is a handsome ride right there.😊
Very NICE select-fire! You will get a lot of attention out on the road in that machine!
Congratulations, With the motor in back I wonder if it will act like a corvair? What will Ralph Nadar think about it. Sweet looking ride.
Looks sinister ! LT6 motor ?
Congrats and safe travels. That car should come with a mandatory track day and instructor, what a beast.
It would be on my bucket list just to drive one.
Very nice ride Gary.
That should have Brembo's on all four corners. Rotors are actually made on one of my production lines. Calipers built next door.
Enjoy!
Got my insurance ready to go, plane ticket purchased...
Yeah, like I said in the F-150 post, the end of an era. But our definition of muscle cars is probably out of date. They say the stock F-150 lightning will do 0-60 in about 4 seconds! It sure won't sound as good doing it though. Bob
I was totally shocked what the insurance amount is thru my classic insurer
In a good way.
Cannot own a sports car without an upgrade suspension and brakes from the factory.
Can we all have rides when you get it? I hope so; I haven't been in a Corvette since 1994.
Select-fire.......I heard that very thing on the news yesterday while at work and thought it was pretty funny given your recent purchase and my question. Glad you got a real one and IT IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR................................................but, everytime you attach that pic to a post.........I'm still gonna poke.......is it electric?🤣
I wonder if I could get into one or get out of without help? Low ride and bad left knee or whack my head getting in because it's not T-Top.
I have a 1996 low mileage Grand Sport. Not driven any C5, C6, C7, or C8 since they were introduced.
Just my Lucky day if he did... In fact my personalized license plate will say...LUCKY 1
Awesome ride. I love seeing them out on the highway. This is the closest I will ever get to anything that cool. It is not a Toyota. Lol.
On the plane Friday morning and should be there and on the road by 11 or noon.
@susie , can you get a baby seat in the back of that.
@Toolman286 fits in the trunk, no problem.
@austin20 got it in 2019, used with only 9000 miles on it.
I know most every body on here remembers the 1980's when cars had maybe 150 to 185 HP and most were all front wheel drive and it looked like any performance car / truck was going to be history .
Thank you, I love seeing folks get what they enjoy. We all worked hard to do it. Regardless the car I love them all. Once judged a large all Ford show a long time ago. When the dust cleared I had some mad car folks. Ist place went to a Ford Pinto. The most original , documented , car there and some were worth tons more that it. Regardless you should have seen the owners face when the best of show trophy was awarded. No friendship notions, or money donated by anyone swayed my decision.
