Turnip Truck
They must have thought I not only fell off but hit my head in the process. I was sitting in my recliner with my kindle looking for a deal on shotgun shells, both for the club and our September charity shoot. Up pops a link with real reasonable prices and free shipping. The site indicates that what I need is in stock and they have a bunch of it. So I punch in 50 flats and check what the total would be with tax and if there are any other charges. Nope, no other charges and no tax! Sounds good but there were a few red flags:
The name of the site is the same as a real site but with an s added to the name
No tax charged
Inventory that no one else has
Prices WAY lower than anywhere else
Signing up requires a lot of personal info
And the real kicker - payment only made by Zelle or cryptocurrency.
I contacted the real site and let them know about this one. I guess the moral of the story is if something is to good to be true, you better look twice. I guess I'll just keep on looking because these folks seem a little shady to me. Bob
P.S. They are not on Gunbroker as far as I can tell.

Did you just fall off of it? 😮
I fell off about 53 years ago...............
Had a little fat fingered posting problem! 😁 Bob
Google is NOT your friend.
Buying ammo online shouldn't require you to give out your mom's maiden name. 😲
There are tons of fake sites that have popped up taking advantage of people not smart enough to know better. There are no legitimate sites out there that don't take credit card payments.
😀
I understand !!
Do you say tur nip or tur nup?
Uhh, that would be nip;
😁 Bob
Dang! Now you tell me. Next you'll be telling me they don't need my SS number either.
what is your "target price" for 2-3/4 inch 1200 FPS 1-18 oz 7.5 shot? 250shot case?
When they have them Wal-Mart price is 32 - 36 dollars for a 4 pack but they have a limit of 1 - 3 packs. That works out to 8 - 9 bucks a box or $80 - $90 a flat. I would like to stay in that range but don't want to be one of those guys that haunts the ammo counter on delivery days at Wal-Mart. Besides the small quantity that they will let you purchase will require more trips than I am willing to make. Since the bulk of the ammo is for a charity shoot, every extra dollar spent means less given to the charity. Bob
