That sucks!
It's the only powder I shoot out of my flinters.
Checked with 'Midway' - none available of any brand. Also checked with 'The Main Powderhouse' - only thing still available was 1fg & 4fg of any brand.
I tend to use more 'Elephant' and 'Swiss' than 'Goex' - and I have more than a lifetime supply at my age. I have black powder pistols - rifles - muzzle-stuffer shotguns - but most use is solid brass shotgun shell cases. By the way in passage I need 16 - 20 - & - 28 gauge solid brass cases - especially European ones using # 57 primers.
Best Regards - AQH
HODGDEN, MAKERS OF GOEX AND OLD ELMSFORD ARE CURRENTLY RE-BUILDING A FACTORY.
In light of this wonderful news where does one get black powder these days? According to my local shop not in New York where it has all but been outlawed. Is it worth traveling to another state to purchase and would I run afoul of the law in doing so?
goex will be comeing back soon they were bought by estes company , that makes rocket motors for toy rocket indudustrie
That being the case I guess I'll just bide my time and wait to see what happens. Shooting weather is still a couple months away here.
grafs and sons has swiss BP in stock
I stocked up on Goex 2F & 3F last Spring. Probably last me the rest of my shooting days.
Thanks mac10 for the heads-up. Grafs & Sons took care of me no problem.
I've got a bunch of 1lb can of Goex. Guess maybe might be a good sale item at a gun show.
might check state laws, I allways heard if was against the law for individual to sell black powder without proper liscence.....
