Looks like it’s time to pack it all up and move on…. my 12th move since I’ve been on the Gunbroker forums. This time, we are headed for the Florida/GA line on the Atlantic side, just north of Jacksonville. Not sure which state we will land in until we find a house. Anyone got any good scoop on the area, or pros/cons of living in either state?

Yep. You got it.
Yep, I used to hate it when that happened. But back then you could get a fake ID and it would take them years to catch up with you but with these dang computers today you're not safe anywhere. 😉
Ok, I'll address the elephant in the room .............. why have you moved 12 times in 18 years?
I don't know but my guess would be it has something to do with the Navy ???
Ha! Yep….military move. Not on the run…..well, at least not yet! 😁
Kings Bay is located in St. Mary's Ga. Nothing close but Brunswick with the beaches. I never thought much of Jacksonville as it was too big and spread out. Don
My youngest brother works at Kings Bay as a machinist civilian contractor. He is retired Navy and lives in Yulee Florida. He has been in that area for over 20 years. PM me your details Frogdog and I will hook you two up.
Safer area...Georgia, Jacksonville, largest city in the U.S area wise, high crime and overloaded with minorities. State income taxes don't exist in Florida and that's about the best thing it has going. Other than the invisible state line the land area is pretty much the same.

We took a little vacation to Brunswick, GA and if you don’t mind the commute it is a quaint little town that we really enjoyed. Roughly an hour to Kings Bay.
Well, I must have missed the "Navy" part.
I can fully relate to that, My Dad was a Master Chief and I was eleven years old before we lived in a city for more than a year.
Thank you for your service Sir.
Stay out of Jacksonville - 4 shootings and a stabbing yesterday. Used to be on the weekends - now every day. I stopped going to the gun shows at the Prime Osborn Center some years ago - now things are moving west along I-10.

Thanks! I may just take you up on that. Always appreciate meeting nice folks.
We are trying hard to. Problem is that the real estate market on the GA side is pretty tough, especially on the rental side of things. I might only be there two years, so I’m not willing to take a chance on buying in this market and then getting caught when the bubble bursts.
