Any of you esteemed gents happen to own or have owned a Feinwerkbau Sport 124 air rifle, What was your opinion of it?
I may have an opportunity to acquire one at a very reasonable price.

Shot one a bit maybe 30 years ago. Liked it but by today's standards it is a bit underpowered. Accurate, o.k. trigger, easy to cock, balances a little barrel heavy but I prefer that. I came close to buying one but then I came across the RWS 48 and found I preferred the side cock feature and the extra 250 or so fps. Still have the RWS and my buddy that had the 124 upgraded to one of their newer models long ago to get more fps and a better trigger. So with a little first hand knowledge, I'd say it was a great gun in its time but by today's standards just average. Bob
I have never shot one, owned one, handled one or heard of one, but as this is GBGD I am more than happy to give an opinion on it.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Thanks, that’s the kind of info I was looking for.
I believe I’ll pass on it and save my money for a different pellet gun.

If you think about it, me not knowing anything about it really says a lot about it.

I may be just a little opinionated, 😀, but take a look at the RWS 48 or if you want a prettier version the RWS 52. My 48 is just as accurate today as it was almost 30 years ago and has accounted for the demise of a ton of yard pests. I think that there are a lot more decent air guns today than there was 30 years ago but I still don't care for barrel cockers. I have seen some of the Gamo rifles that required a tap on the bottom of the barrel before shooting to make sure it had closed the same each time or accuracy suffered badly. The pneumatic air guns have come a long way with their consistency and accuracy but a good one is really expensive so I'll just stick with my little old side cocker. Bob
Dad bought me a Sheridan Silver Streak many years ago, accurate as hell. Had it refurbished once and the grandkids love it. Used to shoot thru a 2X4😮
You forgot to suggest one that is completely different than what he is asking about.
About a year ago I sold 4 Sheridans, one was a Silver Streak with original box and 3 Benjamins.all were in excellent working order. A guy in DC flew to Atlanta, rented a car and drove here to upstate SC to buy the Sheridan Silver Streak. The money those old pellet rifles brought would buy a nice late model pick up.I still have a couple of old pneumatics and several RWS and German Beemans. If i remember correctly the Beemans were built by Feinwerkbau and Diana.
I like my Ruger Air Magnum .22
I have a couple, but I like the RWS 52 the best. It is heavyj but it shoots great.

I had the RWS 48 and the RWS 52. I tried several before selecting those two because of the triggers and the way they felt. Hard to beat RWS.
I had a Crosman Model 130 pump pellet pistol back in the 60s. I liked it better than the pellet rifle I had that used the CO2 cylinders. Those with the CO2 cylinders shot harder for a little while then they slowed down very soon as they ran out of gas and those cylinders were sorta expensive. With the pump it shot about the same every time until eventually the seals wore out and needed to be replaced.
Mine got stolen along with my Remington Wingmaster 20 ga. pump shotgun.
I don't know the model but that brand is extremely popular on a airgun site I go on and maybe should not be overlooked..
I had one 30 some years ago and had the deluxe version, i was trying to acquire another but they have risen drastically in price, like $500. It was super accurate a real tack driver. I think they are rated at 750 fpm. I found a Diana model 34 used here last year and had it out yesterday and got it sighted it, higher compression, it's accurate but you can' see the hit on target as the recoil causes you to lose the picture. So if you come across a Beeman Feinwerkbau 124 I would grab it without hesitation.
Well it went for a whopping $17.50

I didn't realize I was selling a pellet gun Dave......😉
Okie-I have a red metal can with white screw on top that held 500 rounds of the 5 mm pellets marked Racine, Wi. It's marked $2.50! Believe gun it was made in 1955!
Todd, See, yours are not the only auctions I have an effect on. 😂
