High today was 64. Been hovering in the upper 50's, lower 60's all week. High Tuesday is forecast to be 93.

I was gonna do the Wicked Witch melting cartoon but since it is you Susie, I didn't think it was appropriate.😉 Bob
Yeah, but it's a dry heat.
@susie That so.east corner of Missouri has some crazy weather. Not to mention a fault line also.
Oh how I wish. 😆 The heat index is showing 104. I have lived in southern Arizona, Ft. Huachuca to be exact. There really is a difference. Sweat in a humid environment just sits on the skin turning into a hot, sticky mess.
I left Sinai south camp it was 113 with humidity in the low teens. Arrived at Ft. Polk La. and thought I was gonna bleening die with temps hovering near 100 and humidity in the upper 70%+ range.
Stay inside
Me: I hope the weather's not too hot this weekend.
The weather:
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
southern ladies dont sweat they glisten
Oh dear goodness. In Alaska we too out in the high 70s. 94 sounds horrific!!

Well, I "glisten" down my back like a river when it's this darn hot. Three days next week are going to be in the mid nineties if nothing changes, then tapering back down to the upper 70s.
Since we have no rain in the forecast for the next couple of days I'm going to try to mow my swamp tomorrow before the heat hits. Going to spoil mimosa Sunday. Although if I don't get it mowed I will be baling hay instead.
Heck, we're hoping for some 'hot & dry' to get ground ready to plant. Mid 40's to mid 60' doesn't raise soil temps to the minimum of 55* before starting the planter(even if we could get across the field w/o getting stuck).
This has been the coldest wettest spring we have ever had here in west-central Ohio. My backyard is a swamp, and the grass is over 1 foot high. I tried to get in there to mow it a few weeks ago and I tore up a big hole when my tire started to spin. I had to put it in 4WD to get out of the mess.
It's finally supposed to get in the 80's this week. I just hope it dries out enough to get the mowing done.

No rain for a few days and it will be 96F today in North Texas, I was on tractor brush hogging for about 5 hours yesterday and will be again today... AC in the cab and cold beer make it tolerable.
Here in the Cross-Timbers area of Texas.........it's forecasted to reach 101 degrees today.
About 80 miles west......up to 105 degrees.
Summer's a tad early this year.
We hit 100 yesterday in Texas..............quit complaining.
I don't mind the heat if we ease into it. When the body hasn't acclimated its a shock to the system. Going from highs in the 60's and 70's to mid nineties is hard on an old body. Probably hard on a young one as well. 😲 😱
I just found out that so far this year we have only had 5 days without some kind of precipitation, here in our world. No wonder our spring has come back to life and made a swamp out of our back yard.
Joe
Seems I was a bit off........as it reached 103 degrees Sunday.
But we got off a little light......because the Vernon/Quanah area......about 70 miles west....reached 106 degrees.
Whew!!!!
Oh my goodness. Heat like that when no acclimation has occurred will kill a person.
Well........back in June 1980, a much younger me was bass fishing on a small farm pond, in my tube/waders set-up......not far from the Red River.
That day we set our all-time high.........117 degrees.
Some info........the record for Texas is 120 degrees in Seymour.
It is suppose to be in the mid 90's most of this week in our neck of the woods. I have declared this a paperwork in the basement week !!
