A little financial advise

We have State Farm insurance for our house, vehicles etc. When we moved up here I decided to get a 1 million dollar personal liability umbrella policy added to our coverage. I hope we never have to use it, but it's there if we need it.
Ours will cover auto liab. for 500K
RV liab. for 500K
Personal residential liab. for 100K
Watercraft liab. for 100K.
Plus other coverage for damage and injury.
The best part of this is that our policy is only $116.00 a year.
If you have valuables, this will reduce your apprehension if you are involved in an incedent.

We have one also, but it does add some extra incentive for people to go after if they have a chance.
It is a two way street. It also gives the insurance company added incentive to defend you more rigorously.

I upped mine to two million a few years ago. It didn't cost that much more and a million dollars just ain't what it used to be.
I have one of those for $2 million. It was the girlfriends idea. Only costs $140 a year.
Yes Prudential has investigators and lawyers who get paid a lot of money, so that Prudential doesn't shell out a dime.
Great point Don, never thought of it that way....
Always thought of this as a no-brainer if you have a low 7-figure net worth (i.e., not enough to self-insure, but enough that you'd like to protect it). Skipping a super-sized Big Mac meal each month buys you some peace of mind just in case bad luck comes your way.
never gave it much thought then about 4 years ago my youngest son and his wife wanted to be married at our place so we called our insurance agent ask how much . just in case ( out side by some trees ) . had a huge tent a DJ and so on and countless people show up for the reception
hope we never have to use it of course but it was so cheap I do not recall the cost but think it was like the rest posted maybe 120. a year give or take . looking back we should have done it years ago and also glad nothing came up during that time pre or hoping noting after warranting a need but good to know its there
