After buying "Band Of Brothers" at Good Will I decided to buy the other half. It's not as good as "Band Of Brothers". Anyways I saw an ad for "Generation Kill" seems interesting I may have to track that one down next. I might also pick up "Letters From Okinawa", too.

I liked them all, just my opinion.
I think it is called letters from Iwo Jima. What I didn’t care about the movie is it is all subtitled. Good movie, just wish it was in English.
Agree.....The Pacific wasn't quite as good as Band of Brothers. Just a little harder to connect with the characters. Still very good, though.
As far as "Generation Kill" goes, I wouldn't bother. I turned it off pretty early. I felt it framed our soldiers in a very poor light that I didn't appreciate.
waltermoe - Right Iwo Jima.
I think subtitle with folks speaking native language is the way to go. Like space aliens speaking English and not Hindi. Why is it always English? And it's always American English. Just once I'd like to see a Cockney speaking space alien. If it had to be in English.
Frogdog - I was rooting for the guy who met the Greek chick in Australia.
Pass on "Generation Kill" huh? Maybe if I find it for less than $10?
If you do try it, just know it’s going to be excessively foul. Nothing like Band of Brothers. Most of the characters I saw in the part I watched were a complete disgrace. In my experience, such conduct is a rarity…..but they depict it as the standard for the US soldier. Truly made me angry.
