Just Too Much!

Doing errands today, I pulled into a small super market in a nearby town to pick up something for lunch. In a deli cooler there were prepackaged smallish sized sub sandwiches. I quickly grabbed one and while looking for the expiration date noticed the price. 8 dollars and 79 cents. 😲
I left the place with a bottle of water and a grab bag of chips.

Should of got a coupon from Dano! LOL!😂
$8.79 for a small sub with soggy bread and wilted lettuce? No thanks. We've entered the Biden-built inflationary Twilight Zone.
Yea but you shoulda just used your 5% Cashback CREDIT CARD and got those Biden bucks!🤢🤮
Lettuce??? What lettuce?? Those little hoagies were just some meat and cheese on soggy bread. 😒
Post Inflation? A month before would've been what $5?
It's Ramen noodles time again.
I think we are in for a lot more sticker shock. The price of fuel has only increased in the last few weeks so it has not filtered down to all products yet.
Once those costs hit products the 8.79 may be a bargain.
^^^I need an "agree" button!^^^
I hit "like" because that's the best option, but I def do NOT like the truth you told!
For the whole county and not just me. I wonder how much a packet cost these days? Prison prices?
At the asking prices for many perishable products, I highly recommend checking the expirations dates very thoroughly. There comes a point where people will just not pay and stores will be forced to either throw things away or mark them down to more affordable prices.
Maybe just wishful thinking this morning.
Begin Sarcasm: According to government figures you shouldn't be complaining about inflation because practically everyone's salaries and wages have gone up significantly thanks to Biden's handling of the economy. End sarcasm.
What Trump gave biden takes away on paper, eh?
Waiting for the US Dollar to being equal to the Mexican Peso then there will be no reason to build the wall. Lose, lose.
I had a Jersey Mike's sub today. $5.95 for the #4 mini. Just enough for my lunch, which I like to be a bit light. Took it home and had iced tea and a few corn chips with it. Deluminous. (Which means "so good it made me glow")
Well I've cut down on any of the "fast food" chains mostly because they ain't cheep anymore and also cause not supposed to be to healthy... but Jersey mikes, firehouse were always a favorite, but my Whataburger monthly fix is killing me almost double the price for a junior double meat with cheese than what is was only 18 months ago...
Good thing we don't have Whattaburger here in Utah. Their jalapeno burger is my downfall.
My wife and I haven't eaten away from home ever since the china crud started.
