New to me. They used different types of Ford V-8s. No idea what the two large flexible pipes are for.

Looks like the large flexible pipes are fresh air intakes for the cab heating/cooling system.
Never seen one, if I did I think I would remember it. Stunning ride IMO.
I've seen quite a few pictures of them, but none at any car shows.

I knew of them gesshots but never saw on in person. I sure saw a lot of Frank's cars at the 500 track though.

Car entrepreneur car designers like Curtis, Muntz and Loewy produced some incredible cars in their day, often using components from mainstream Detroit car companies. In a way, they were precursors to Carroll Shelby's amalgamated Cobras. My favorite was Superman's ride, the Pininfarina-designed Nash Healy,

Earl (Mad Man) Muntz, the flamboyant electronics retailer and car salesman, acquired Kurtis in 1950 and sold them with his own name plate until 1954. He estimated that he lost about $1000 on every one of the almost 400 units produced, and were built using Cadillac & Lincoln engines. I almost bought one in 1960 but changed my mind.
