As a retired LEO I was allowed to possess a high-cap mag.
A friend gave me five Glock model 23, 13 rnd mags for a .40 cal. I have never owned a Glock.
With the new laws that were just passed there is no more grandfathering of high-caps owned prior to the Safe Act of 2013.
I havent heard if this includes retired Law Enforcement, but it doesn't matter, because I don't need them anyway...Hint hint.

I have some of those for my Kel Tec 2000. Never had an issue with them.

Gun laws are ridiculous, how is that gun turn in going in Canada? How about Trudeau's new decree on guns what is that going to do, nothing but sell more guns.

I do disagree with the ruling class having a different set of laws than any other citizen.
