What's on the menu for the Fourth?

After watching the family of dumpster pandas diving after "hot dogs" in "The Great Outdoors" scene. I got to figure something out for the eats.
I see Safeway has "ground beef" 80/20 for $1.99 a pound. Making half a loaf French Bread burgers sounds good. Making a pound and a half patty (maybe two) to fill the bread and to soak up the meat juices with sliced onions with Kewpie mayo and maybe a little ketchup. Need the bread crust surrounding the burger or else it's a mess. Clawssen Pickles on the side since there won't be room for them in the burger.
Might be the last time I'll have fresh meat before Thanksgiving because of biden.

We'll have some house guests over the fourth so we're doing ribeyes, roasted asparagus, and garlic mashed taters. Albertson's (Safeway) has a sale going on so I figured I'd splurge a bit.
Two of my wife's girlfriends from way back are coming to visit so I need to restock the wine cellar, too!
Could be a long week...
Prayers welcome!
I don't know, the Warden is in charge of that. I will say that a couple nights ago we had family from out of the area staying, so we done up a huge batch of seafood. I thought of you, as the menu included about 30 Hood Canal (Hamma Hamma) oysters.
Rodeo cheeseburgers at two rodeos in Red Lodge MT, one in Livingston MT, and one in Cody Wyoming.
I’m sure the Bride will likely also have an order of nachos and cheese at one or more of the above.
Mule
Probably do some hot dogs or burgers on the grill, maybe ribs... haven't decided yet, but there will be beer.
I'm going to try and do a brisket....maybe some grilled Chicken as well..add a side of homemade Mac& cheese and corn on the cob with a glass of sweet tea and I'll can it a win.🤤
I'm fasting for the 4th.
Cold Beer
Tater salad, pork & beans, and a burger here. I may also do some corn on the cob so I get some vegetable vitamins in me.
I think I will be drinking tequila and eating chinese food since we have given this country away to the mexicans and the chicoms.
Grandkids & BEER😑
Son is smoking a brisket on his pellet grill. Everyone here is crazy about them ,me not so much . I would prefer a rack of ribs.
Just pulled a few limits of dungeness crab from the opener on Discovery bay. Boiled with butter and lemon. Extra pieces will go into crab cakes. Accompany with your favorite chilled beverage.
Had the brisket for supper tonight . My opinion has not changed ,give me ribs or burgers . Too damn greasy .
I agree pulsarnc! Brisket is best used for making JERKY!
SWMBO bought a nice steak the other day. Looks like I'll be grilling it up this evening. I did pick up a sixer of one of her favorite beers: Leinie's Summer Shandy.
Tomorrow is our 52nd anniversary. No special observance planned but we may watch everyone else celebrating it with fireworks!
If your brisket is greasy, you ain't cooking it right...
Wow, Rocky! Married on the 4th of July! Congrats on 52 years. That is one hell of an accomplishment.
Thanks. Really puts irony to "Independence Day" huh?
Have been forced to travel to several venues by my foodie family to sample brisket . My opinion remains, give me ribs , leave the brisket !
Whatever is in the first can that falls out of the cupboard when I open the door.
The steak turned out to be an almost two-pound T-bone. I grilled it and gave her the fillet side. We also had the season's first sweet corn, slaw, and some artisanal sourdough bread. Mighty fine meal.
figure it will be a golf course hot dog and few beers............. wife and kids went visiting, I am using my alone time to golf
Had burgers Friday, Chicken Tacos Saturday, leftovers last night and other half is making potato salad right now to go with the hot dogs I'll grill later today... cold beer at the ready. Folks have been doing fireworks every evening this weekend, We got a short rain shower yesterday afternoon but it's still too dry so we won't be doing any fireworks this year. Happy 4th to everyone!
Son, Daughter In Law, and our GRAND DAUGHTER have been here the last 4 days. They left early this morning....
I grilled the last 3 nights, so the menu for the 4th of July around our place will be left over steak, brats, chicken and the remains of a huge Ham dinner from Sunday lunch..
I will be eating good for the rest of the week !!!
HAPPY 4th to you all !!
Sliced brisket with mashed potatoes tonight.
Currently a cigar & whiskey. I don’t have to bbq this year. Going to relatives later and they are doing burgers I believe.
Andy.
What the heck happened? Garbage disposer clogged up?
Sliced turkey out of a shrink wrap, fake cheese, and somewhat stale bread for lunch.
A can of mini ravioli w/parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and a 3 day old cinnamon roll for supper.
Hay to bale. Soybeans to spray. Rye to combine. Not much celebrating here. Butt's draggin and dozing off in front of the fan.
Brats, burgers and cold beer.
Horse Plains Drifter - Lucky!!! But only 30 Hama Hamas? I'd knock those back before the first can of beers got sweaty.
scooterdriver - Nice. Fresh dungees
redneckandy - You got to tell me what I'm looking at? BDS&M Beef? Kinky.
So I had three days of Burger-thon. Friday was Loco-Moco. I bought couple of cans of sausage gravy a while back. Never had it and I thought why not. I can't make gravy to save my life so that is why I bought canned (not good). But Loco-Moco wasn't bad.
Saturday. Went and bought a fresh baked French bread. Cut that bad boy in half and sliced it open. Slathered it in Kewpie mayo and Hidden Valley ranch (because I had some). Did a new method of burger making. I got a glass pie pan and put like a pound and a half of burger to form a big boy patty (same size as the cast iron pan). Cooked it until a nice crust has formed and cut the patty in half so I could flip it without making a mess. Laid down sliced onions under the raw burger side to steam (White Castle Style). Turn off the heat and let it just cook on residual heat. It was basically a Dagwood Double Decker. Made that two days in a row.
I did take out the bacon from the freezer but didn't use it. That reminds me. I had to root around the back of the freezer to find the bacon so I took out bunch of stuff to get to it then I couldn't put everything back. Took like three tries to get everything back. I must have Tetris-ed it the first time around and everything froze in place?
Now I have to figure out what to do with the bacon. I don't wanna do the bacon wrapped shrimps or bacon fried rice.
How about just bacon and bacon? Fried nice and crispy.
Local Pizza ... was delicious
I had string beans, yellow hominy, garden tomatoes, and deer burger cooked in gravy, onions and mushrooms, with cornbread...
