A hunting story

Two deer hunters were standing on a ridge near a highway in rural Texas on the opening day of deer season.
They spotted a large trophy class buck meandering toward them.
As one hunter raised his rifle to shoot, a funeral procession came slowly by. The hunter lowered his rifle, took off his hat and stood with his head bowed until the procession was past.
The other hunter exclaimed, "Wow! That was the most sportsman act I've ever seen! You allowed this trophy buck to escape while showing compassion and kindness toward someone's dearly departed. You are a great humanitarian and a shining example to sportsmen throught the world."
The first hunter noddded and said, "Well, we were married for 42 years."

That was a dedicated deer hunter.
I would have shot the deer first.
I've told deers hunters and fisherman that are thinking about getting a divorce to stop and think about your guns and fishin eq FIRST AND FOREMOST. You can easily lose some/most or all of your prize possessions and she knows which ones you would like to keep. (and she also knows where you have them cherished ones hidden from her)
I have never considered this thought process or ever considered divorce.........Hopefully my bride has not either ~!!!!!😮
Precisely why I am now single and choose not to look for a female companion. Been raked over the coals twice now, won't happen again.
Yep, stay in it for the sake of your huntin and fishin equipment.
Just not worth losing that sort of stuff. Just think opening morning of deer gun season and you are broke from the divorce (cannot afford a gun) and you have no huntin gun.
On top of that you don't have enough money to get dog drunk so as to reduce you pain and depression.
You tried to call Dr. Phil and got a voice message that he is gone deer huntin call back in 3 months.
Ida shot the buck.
