Son Travis has an old Ruger Standard .22 pistol that I gave him many moons ago. He was here shooting it, and I found a newish magazine in the shop and gave it to him. It would not work; the loading button is on the wrong side.
I believe it is possible to change the side that the button is on, but I couldn't get the button out. I checked Youtube and found no helpful information.
Anybody? Is it possible?

I do not know if this will help or not..
Ruger .22 "Standard" magazines vs. Mark I magazine — GunBroker.com Member Forums
I have an old MKI. If I remember correctly as the MK II came out there were some mags where the knob could be reversed. Any newer mags are not changeable.
It is possible and I need to do the same as I have an original mag that’s giving me problems. This video shows you how to change the button follower on either mag as the Mk2 is just a little different.

THANKS!
You bet. After YouTube changed the rules about showing gunsmithing it’s been hard finding the old videos that could still stay on.
